The smoke moved in sampling last night. End of August always reminds me that the rivers are a bit tired. It also signals the beginning of fall, rain, and the return of salmon to our rivers. Shorter, cooler days help water temps drop as rivers rise and welcome our fish home. Growing up in the NW, fishing and living here nearly all my life, salmon have become a big part of who I am. It’s always comforting to welcome them back.
