Honestly honestly such a perfect shoot. I’ve been so blessed by the wonderful folks who’ve come into the studio @28sunbury for a portrait shoot and @sallyamaka was no exception - sure she brought some cool clobber but it’s all about that openness and willingness to truly collaborate and create that makes it sing and I could not ever be more proud of these. Amaka has an hugely impressive IMDB but if you’re curious to know more, look what she has coming up… Thank you to @shanicemua_ for her skills and to @rontimehin for his on set awesomeness. I’m in a black cab in my way to a shoot and instead of the usual rants, drives asking me what I do. I tell him. He says my kid’s in a band, they’re good, my son’s the singer and he looks like one as well. Cut to me posting these portraits of @solabrahams of @bilkbandpage who release their new single today. The full suite of portraits with @paddyisyoung from our shoot @28sunbury which was joyful and fun for @ralph.mag which appears on mag shop shelves curated and designed from the minds of @joshjoshjones and @jamesleeduffy both of whom I’ve known for so long and yet still I’m delighted when I see them and hear from them and especially when we make something together. Dialling the vibe down with @callmeanimalband @28sunbury with thanks to tour manager @katelouisehutchinson for the strong BTS energy. It’s always the backstage crew that make these moments more fun, isn’t it?! Missed @spoonful__of__jam though, hopefully next time when the band have gone stellar and we’re backstage at megadome show loaded with wristbands, lanyards and free drinks. LOVE x by @28sunbury

An honour to have @callmeanimalband in the @28sunbury studio, featuring @lennon_jayyy Ellen @jneost @modelhunter1990 and some roadie named @katelouisehutchinson who all supported @bombayinsta at the weekend here in London. After years and years of shooting covers and features for The Fly magazine, it was great to be reminded of new-band-making-it energy again and this lot will most definitely be making it. I first collaborated with @david_fadd for a joint feature in @wonderland magazine and @adobe back in 2021.

Who would have known that five years later our paths would keep crossing and that one day, we’d be creating together?

Here’s a nice little thing @rontimehin made about a favourite portrait with @gilbertandgeorgecentre which I recently updated @28sunbury ten years later. I love the differences and the consistencies and the nuances that live in between. The original got into the Taylor Wessing back then and it was an incredible moment, seeing it hung in the NPG. Think I’ll sign off with these gems of the truly brilliant @zarahsultanamp with whom the year closed @28sunbury following a really inspiring year, giving us at the studio a load of reasons for optimism into 2026 - which I know we all greatly need. Not that anyone asked especially but my continued aim is to make beautiful things, support the people I love and believe in, share skills and knowledge with those interested and to continue to enjoy my passion for this stuff. Thank you friends, family, fellow photographers and our photo community for all the good times and I wish you the best possible break and year to come x taken in Sunbury Workshops by @28sunbury
