As the leaves turn golden and the fjord goes quiet, we’re taking a moment to look back on a season full of good food, long conversations, and unforgettable days in Aurland.

To our amazing team: thank you for every early breakfast, every made bed, every plate prepared with care, and every vegetable harvested with love. You are the heart of this place, and the spirit you bring to every day is what our guests remember most 🫂

To our guests: thank you for choosing to stay with us, for exploring the valley, sharing your stories at our tables, and leaving with a little piece of Aurland in your hearts. It has been a joy to welcome you!

To our local producers and suppliers: thank you for the fresh and qualitative ingredients that make every meal a taste of this landscape. Working with you is what makes our kitchen truly local!

And to our partners: thank you for your trust, collaboration, and support throughout the year, we couldn’t do it without you.

Bla vidare og bli betre kjend med Tone, gründerdraumen og ynskje om å visa at det går an å leva av rein luft og kjærleik.

Smykka ho ber er frå Bark, med rå detaljar inspirerte av furubarken og laga i resirkulert sølv hjå oss på Voss. by @292aurland

✨ Møt vår nye Sporkvinne: Tone Rønning Vike!

Nokre menneske inspirerer oss litt ekstra. Tone er ei av dei.

Det er mykje ved Tone me kjenner oss att i her på Sylvsmidja: stoltheita over lokale tradisjonar, trua på godt handverk og motet til å gå sin eigen veg.

No frontar ho den nye smykkeserien Bark, inspirert av furutreet – eit symbol på styrke, røter og det å stå støtt.

Rusle rundt på garden, kjøp grønnsaker fra garden og ost fra Skjerdal stølsysteri, og få i deg varmande suppe, kaffi og kanelsnurrar.
Du vil vel ikkje gå glipp av vår trerettars haustmiddag med cidersmaking? Den kostar 1400 kroner pr pers inkludert drikke. Dessutan lovar vi musikk og sang!
Denne spesielle helga har alle rom ein fast pris på 3 500 kr per person, inkludert økologisk frokost og haustmiddag med sidersmaking.

You won’t want to miss our three-course fall dinner with a cider tasting! It’s 1,400 NOK per person including drinks, and we promise music and song too!
For this special weekend, every room is at a fixed rate of 3,500 NOK per person, including our organic breakfast and fall dinner with a cider tasting.

🇬🇧 HARVEST MARKET, OPEN FARM AND AUTUMN DINNER AT 29|2 AURLAND

On 10 October, we warmly welcome everyone to Tokvam and 29|2 from 13:00–16:00. There will be flowers and vegetables from our own farm for sale, as well as seasonal soup, cinnamon buns, coffee/hot spiced apple juice and creative activities for children!

We will open the doors of the hotel for guided tours.

From 18:00, we invite you to a four-course autumn dinner with cider pairing, featuring local cider producers.
Price: NOK 1,400 per person (incl. cider pairing)

Meet Taran. A young woman with many talents- trained as a landscape architect, but these days happily putting her skills to work in the garden, in the restaurant, and at the baking table. Always cheerful, curious and positive - here carrying a freshly baked cake for today’s birthday boy. Meet our wonderful partners!🤍

Behind Xcima Oceans is Per-Børre, a man who knows the sea, and who has helped bringing it to screens around the world and has worked on nature series for the BBC, Netflix and Apple TV.

On his boat Ocean X, he now takes the guests on a private tours into Sognefjord, visiting Nærøyfjord, Undredal, Flåm and Gudvangen, at a relaxed pace, with local food and plenty of stories.

Every trip is different, shaped around the guests and nature, and that’s what we love about him!

I’ve traveled the world and @292aurland is now ranked my favorite destination. 🇳🇴

And I don’t say that lightly.

Tucked into the Norwegian fjords, 29|2 Aurland isn’t really a hotel or a bed and breakfast - it’s an experience. Intimate, wildly beautiful, thoughtful down to the smallest detail, and somehow both adventurous and completely peaceful.

The food. The people. The design. The landscape. The quiet. Waking up surrounded by mountains and gardens and animals and waterfalls that genuinely don’t look real.

We left already talking about when we could come back.

If Norway is anywhere on your list, SAVE THIS PLACE. And if Norway isn’t on your list yet…this is your sign. Seriously.
