We are deeply thankful for the recognition from @connecticutmagazine and @insider_ct as one of the Top Restaurants for 2025. While some of our cuisine is inspired by the South and our chefs absolutely cook from the soul, we consider our cuisine New American as we draw inspirations from around the world. This distinction does not diminish our gratitude for being included in this prestigious list 🙏🏽. Team Markle, Thank you for consistently striving for excellence! Here’s to 2025 & beyond! We opened our doors in Bridgeport with a simple purpose: cook with intention, take care of people, and represent our city the right way.

Four years later, we’re still here. Still growing. Still learning.

Thank you to our team, our guests, and everyone who continues to believe in what we’re building at 29 Markle Ct.

Thank you to the CRAZIES and the CRHA for the nomination & continuing to recognize and celebrate Connecticut’s hospitality community. LINK IN BIO TO VOTE!

As summer comes to a close, we wanted to spin the block one more time and show some love to the time we had at “Dinner on Markle”.

“29 Markle has shown that upscale dining doesn’t have to abandon soul, culture or neighborhood identity to be taken seriously. A smoked half bird can sit in the same culinary conversation as handmade pasta and meticulously sourced vegetables. A restaurant can be Black-owned without allowing that label to define the limits of its audience. And Bridgeport itself can be part of the story rather than something a restaurant has to overcome. That philosophy was articulated very early in the restaurant’s history”.

Excellence isn’t the destination, it’s the vehicle for impact.
The finished product isn’t the table. It’s the people around it.
Thank you to everyone who attended and to everyone who had a hand in making Dinner on Markle 2026 happen. We had a blast!

Food & drink are an excuse to bring people together.

You never know who you’ll be sitting next to, what conversation might unfold, or how someone you meet at the table might become part of your story.

That’s what Dinner on Markle is really about.

Come to the table.
