☕️ A Special Visit & The Living Art of Hagi-yaki Ware We are still incredibly inspired after welcoming Tanaka San @tanaka_nl to the 2Cookinn Atelier! Thank you so much for visiting our space and connecting with our community. We are delighted to celebrate the magic of Hagi-yaki ware (萩焼). Hailing from Yamaguchi, Japan, this legendary tea pottery is famous for its soft clay and fine glaze cracks (kannyu). As you use it, tea oils slowly seep into these cracks, beautifully changing the colour of the ceramic over time. In Japan, this living transformation is called “the seven changes of Hagi” (Hagi no nanabenge)—making each piece a reflection of the time you spend with it. Moments like this are exactly why we love opening our doors to share passion, craft, and new links. Thank you again, Tanaka San! Upcoming workshop ✨ Embrace the beauty of imperfections. ✨ In November, we will bring a very special Modern Kintsugi Workshop to the 2Cookinn Atelier by Miyuki san @kintsugi_miu Kintsugi is the traditional Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with lacquer and dusting it with powdered gold. Instead of hiding the fractures, this beautiful philosophy honors the item’s history, making it even more beautiful than before. 🛠️💛 In this hands-on, 3-hour class, you will learn to repair a piece with your own hands using authentic Urushi lacquer. 🎨 What you need to know: • All materials & equipment are fully provided. • Bring your own broken item to fix! (Don’t have one?
