A Norwegian-Asian Heritage

Drawing from family archives and the visual language of the 60s and 70s, this shoot reinterprets the era through the lense of the third generation. Set against the serene greenery of the Norwegian landscape we grew up in. A familiarity that draws parallels between the small towns left behind and the new ones adopted.

why do lights glow red on film?

It's called halation. On film, bright light passes through the emulsion, hits the back of the film base and reflects back up into the bottom layer, the one that records red. That's why street lamps, windows and stage lights in old photos and films often have a red-orange rim around them. Most film stocks have a dark anti-halation layer to stop this, but it never stopped all of it.

When my friend @londonfishmarket found this camera at the used marked i knew we need to get it, it has the chillest lens mount I allready have a bunch of lenses for it, that I had adapted to my Sony camera but now I can use it native.

Also the color science of this camera is some of the best in the market even tho it's 20 years old it's stil very relevant today and can achieve a look my Sony could not.

Postcards i took recently in oslo.
I learned something new about myself. I should have been using my main camera all this time.

I have been using my alternatives and side cameras for a long time and noticed I have not been happy with what I managed make with them. They are great cameras but I think I have had put my focus on to many mediums and should have just stick with what I'm best at.

So don't let your main camera collect dust this summer take it out!

Liminal.repair is a website I made with my most used image effects. It has y2k effects, glitch effects, film emulation effects that you actually wanna use.

I currently need people to try and test it so I can fix all bugs, so I’m keeping it free for now and let me know if something you feel is missing or broken.
