Today’s Music Monday is one we make with heavy hearts
We’re remembering Boston’s own Prano. A Hyde Park native who spent over a decade putting on for the city, Prano built a name for himself through consistency, authenticity, and a sound that represented Boston everywhere he went.
News of his passing has been a shock to the community and at this time, the circumstances surrounding his death have not been made public and we want to be respectful of his family and loved ones during this difficult time.
From everyone at 2BLUNTTV, we extend our deepest condolences to Prano’s family, friends, collaborators, and fans. Thank you for everything you’ve contributed to the culture and to the city.

Flashback Friday 🔥

This week’s throwback takes us back to when Sleepy Hallow pulled up and showed love to 2BLUNTTV. Since then, it’s been a journey.

We’re Boston all the way here at 2BluntTV but we know when to give credit when credit’s due.
This weekend, Jay-Z reminded the world why his name belongs in every GOAT conversation with a historic three-night takeover of Yankee Stadium. Celebrating 30 years of Reasonable Doubt and 25 years of The Blueprint, Hov turned one of baseball’s most iconic venues into hip-hop history.
The weekend was packed with legendary moments, surprise appearances from names like Beyoncé, Nas, Rihanna, Eminem, Usher, and Pharrell, and a celebration of one of the greatest catalogs the genre has ever seen. Even with delays on the final night due to security concerns outside the stadium, the show became another unforgettable chapter in Jay-Z’s legacy.
Three decades in, Jay-Z is still proving why his name sits at the top of hip-hop history. From the classics to the stadium stage, Hov continues to show that real greatness never fades.

Music Monday 🎶🔥
If you’re tapped into the underground rap scene, then you already know Bars on I-95. But you may not know that they throw an annual brunch. 2Blunttv was invited this year and it’d definitely one of the summer’s can’t miss events.
Every year, creators, artists, DJs, media personalities, and industry tastemakers from all over come together for an brunch built around one thing: the culture. From networking to celebrating the music, the energy was unmatched from start to finish.
This year’s guest list didn’t disappoint either. Fivio Foreign shut the party down with an impromptu performance, Shiggy was in the building bringing his signature energy, and Dave East made an appearance... even if he managed to slip past our cameras this time. 😂
We had the opportunity to catch up with some incredible creatives, capture exclusive moments, and be part of an event that continues to shine a spotlight on the next wave of talent. Huge thank you to the Bars on I-95 team for having us we’re already looking forward to next summer.

Truly the end of an era
After 10 seasons, 5 All-Star appearances, ECF MVP, an NBA championship, and a Finals MVP, Jaylen Brown is officially headed to the rival Philadelphia 76ers in one of the biggest shockers of the offseason. Boston is receiving Paul George along with a couple of draft picks but come on man! What about the fans? What about the culture? What about his contributions? What were they thinking 😭

I’m in inconsolable and I know all of Boston has a dark cloud over it today despite the 100° weather. Everyone who’s not a C’s fan is probably grinning from ear to ear right now 😪
Brad Stevens ruined the east and made a contender out of our rivals 🤦

This week’s Women Crushing It Wednesday spotlight goes to Boston’s own Nay Speaks (@nay_speaks).
Fresh off graduating from Spelman College, Nay made national headlines after a freestyle caught the internet’s attention, including Lil Baby, who commented that he’d pay off her student loans. The two connected, locked in, and he followed through.
But if you’ve been paying attention to the Boston music scene, you know this wasn’t an overnight success.
Nay has been putting in the work for years! Rocking stages at TD Garden, showing up for the community through initiatives like Heal The Hood, and consistently representing the city with talent, authenticity, and purpose. She even tapped in with 2BLUNTTV during her showcase at the Sinclair last year before the viral moment, and it’s been dope watching her journey continue to level up.
