When people ask how long I’ve been fishing…….

A lot has changed in fishing over the past 40 years. We used to ride out all day (because it took us that long to get there) on a boat with a single engine and tie up to fish all night .

No GPS. No autopilot. No up to date weather info. No extra motor to bring you back in if the first one failed.

But truly, still had the best time every single trip. We broke down more times than I can count. We’ve been towed in from way offshore after calling back home from an oil rig and I wouldn’t trade those adventures for anything.

We’ve gone diving and shot fish bigger than we should have, but with teamwork always managed to get the fish back up to the surface. We don’t tell my mama about those. 🤣

Happy Father’s Day to my number one captain and dive parter for life.
