Osanyin is the orisha of plants and vegetation. He is the source of all medicine that lies dormant in nature. He manifests in the power of healing that is found in all herbs, leaves, barks, and roots. It is prophesied that there will be a day mankind will achieve total union and harmony with Osanyin. In that future time, all disease and ailments will cease to be. It is said there can be forms of Orisha practice that doesn't involve animal sacrifice. There can even be veneration of Orisha worship that doesn't deal with physical forms. However there can not be any Orisha worship that doesn't include Osanyin, because we will always need to incorporate herbs and plants for spiritual and physical usages. Osanyin is not "seated" like other Orisha. He never possesses his devotees. All Cuban Santeria houses accept that there are certain beings who are born with the gift of Osanyin. They do not need initiation, since like their father Osanyin, they brought their knowledge from Heaven. Osanyin is personified as a mutant with 1 leg, 1 arm, and 1 eye. It is said he emerged this way to always remember that the Earth is his other half, as he was not born or begotten from anyone but Nature itself. by @2freewxrld

Egungun is a Yoruba cultural and spiritual tradition that represents the spirits of the ancestors. During festivals or ceremonies, a person wears special costumes and masks to represent the ancestors who have passed away. The Egungun is believed to come to bless, guide, and protect the community.

Has someone ever tried to convince you that receiving an ileke ceremony is an informal tradition?

While it may not be done and formally accepted by the public in Nigeria, ileke ceremony is an adaptation for us who have to practice Lukumi & Santeria due to oppression, persecution, and ultimately adaptation. Note that we were removed from our egbe (society) and mixed together as we were forced into slavery. We used to have an Egbe Osun, an Egbe Sango, an Egbe Ogun, and other orisha egbes where we devoted to a single orisha worship. However as we were forced to evolve and adapt to life post slavery, our tribes, and egbes were all mixed up in this melting pot called North America.

That is one of the main reasons why we evolved to do a formal ileke ceremony as a LUKUMI tradition. While it may not be a formal ISESE practice, it does not mean it is not righteous. "What is right is not always popular and what is popular is not always right." by @2freewxrld

Happy Ose IFA day family.
Today is the day we bring offerings to IFA, the oracle, the one who knows all destiny. It is with the divinity IFA, that we created our soul contract with before we came from Heaven to Earth. Therefore it is IFA we consult to guide us to our Most High destiny possible while we are here on Earth heading back home to Heaven. In Isese, Lucumi, and Santeria traditions we consult the Oracle regularly because IFA. the supreme Oracle is an all knowing deity. IFA helps to advise us what we need to do to avert danger or death. There is no room for confusion or lies with IFA, because it is a deity that it's devotees can not hide from. IFA knows all, sees all, and hears all... all that was, all that is, and all that will ever be. For people who walk in honesty, integrity, responsibility, love, light, and truth... well they may be encompassed by all of IFA beauty and blessing that has to offer. For those who chose to life a betrayal, enemies, wickedness, curses, bad witchcraft, gossip, drama, and trouble making, they will have to pay off their debts to IFA through experiencing potential bad reincarnation, misfortune, calamity, and potentially cursing their own off spring directly or indirectly through spiritual karma or bad reputation. May IFA reveal all of our enemies to us, not just in the form of another person but may IFA reveal the enemy we are to ourselves through bad habits, vices, judgemental mindset, bad character, removing habits that damage my character or bring me shame, may IFA grant me wisdom to not judge or condemn any other being but to help me to understand so I can move forward without accumulating their karma also. by @2freewxrld

Today, the 26th of June, marks the official commencement of the annual Ifá Festival in Òṣogbo, Ọ̀ṣun State, Nigeria, under the revered spiritual leadership of Baba Àràbà Ifáyẹmí Ẹlẹ́buìbọ́n, alongside Baba Ifagbenusola Atanda Akọ́dá Awo, who traditionally leads the sacred procession on the authority of Baba Àràbà. Also present are the esteemed Ìwárẹ̀fà—our venerable spiritual chiefs and leaders—the dedicated lieutenants, and the entire Ẹgbẹ́ Ọ̀dọ́ Ìdìn-Ìlẹ̀kẹ̀.

His Royal Majesty, Kábíèsí Ọláònípẹ̀kun Oyètúnjí (Olárọ̀óyè II), Olóde Òṣogbo, Ẹ máa pẹ́ fún wa pẹ̀lú gbogbo àwọn Bàbá àti Ìyá wa...

The opening rite of the festival is known as ÌLAGBÓ, a sacred ceremony that signifies the ritual purification and spiritual cleansing of the revered Ifá Grove, as well as the symbolic renewal of the entire town. The consistent rainfall that blessed Òṣogbo in the days leading up to the festival is widely regarded as a divine manifestation of purity, peace, and abundant blessings, setting a befitting atmosphere for this prestigious annual celebration.

As this sacred festival unfolds, I extend my heartfelt wishes to all Bàbáláwos in Òṣogbo and its environs for a successful, peaceful, and spiritually fulfilling celebration.

THREE WAYS TO SOLVE HUMANITY'S PROBLEMS
1. Ifa consultation
2. Sacrificio
3. Believe in Ifa
As babalawo, God created us to help people solve any spiritual or physical problem affecting human life.

Ifa consultation and Sacrifice

They both work together. Ifa consultation is called "idafa" and the sacrifice is "ebbo". People consult Ifa when they have a problem or just want to know about their life in general. After Ifa talks about the problem, he prescribes ebo items to Ifa priest (babalawo) who conducts the consultation. Articles are used to ebo about the problem and thus solve it.

Esu is the messenger between heaven and earth; most ebos are given to Esu. He is also the "police" who arrests those who consult without ebo. It is better not to consult than to ask without ebo, as it will worsen the problem.

Ebo is not just an offering to Esu. In Yoruba culture, the priest or priestess performs the Ebo with animals, songs and powerful verses, which are then placed in front of Esu or at the crossroads, at the place indicated by Ifá. by @2freewxrld
