The setting is the year 2013, to be exact, the 8th of June, almost 13 years ago. 🔙 I was 17 years old, and it was one of the greatest days my younger self could have ever imagined: spending a day with the perfect three-car garage. 😍

Even today, this remains a perfect trio. 💯

First, the ideal daily, the monstrous Mercedes-Benz E 63 AMG W212, a car that roars like nothing else, from a time when Mercedes-AMG was truly at its peak. 🔝

Then, the perfect choice for a sunny Sunday, the Ferrari F430 Spider by Novitec Rosso, with its brutal naturally aspirated V8 engine. ❤️ Sadly, Ferrari hasn’t produced another naturally aspirated V8 since the Ferrari 458 Italia generation that followed the F430. ☹️

And then, the greatest of all time from Lamborghini. 🧡 The pinnacle. 🥇 The mamma mia moment: the Lamborghini Murciélago LP640. 🤌

For me, nothing Lamborghini has made since comes close. 💯 This car has it all, the sleek silhouette, and that naturally aspirated V12 that roars and screams when pushed to its limits. 💪

Every color suits the Murciélago perfectly. 🎨 Whether it’s Nero Aldebaran for a Batman-like presence, the elegant Grigio Telesto, or the vibrant Arancio Atlas like this one here, this bull looks stunning in every shade. 🤤 But for me, Monterey Blue is the ultimate spec. 💙

Beyond the LP640, I’ve always had a soft spot for the Lamborghini Murciélago LP670-4 SuperVeloce. 👀

What makes it even more special: there is only one manual, gated LP640 ever painted in Monterey Blue in the world. 🌍 And similarly, there is only one LP670-4 SuperVeloce, an automated one, also finished in Monterey Blue. 💙

Yes, cars like the Aventador, or the Revuelto, and others are impressive… 😃

…but they will never be Murciélago cool. 😎

The almighty McLaren F1, for me personally, the peak of automotive excellence. 💯 It doesn’t get better than this, and it never will. 💪

Powered by a 6.1-litre V12 engine developed by BMW Motorsport, paired with a manual gearbox and featuring the iconic three-seat configuration, where the driver sits in the center, it is simply top-notch engineering. 🤤

To this day, the McLaren F1 remains the fastest naturally aspirated production car, with a top speed of 384 km/h. 💨 What makes this even more impressive is that the F1 was produced between 1992 and 1998. 😳 In more than three decades, no naturally aspirated production car has surpassed its top speed. 🥇

The leading technical designer of the F1 was Gordon Murray, who has revived the spirit of the F1 with his creations from Gordon Murray Automotive, most notably the Gordon Murray Automotive T.50, the track-focused T.50s Niki Lauda, and the S1 LM. 😍 All are incredible machines and perhaps the closest modern equivalents to the F1, but still, nothing beats the original. 🤌

The McLaren F1 road car behind me is chassis number 43. 👀 It was ordered by Motokazu Sayama, the owner of Ueno Clinic in Japan. 🇯🇵 He specified a two-tone grey exterior, matching his contemporary Mercedes‑Benz SL. 🎨

What makes the story of this particular car even more special is that Ueno Clinic later became the main sponsor of the factory McLaren F1 GTR prototype that won the 24 Hours of Le Mans. 🏁

As part of the sponsorship, Mr. Sayama requested that the race car be painted in the same two-tone grey livery as his road car. 🤝 This wish was granted. 🧞‍♀️ He also secured a seat in the car for Masanori Sekiya, who went on to become the first Japanese driver ever to win Le Mans. 🏆

What a shoot this was! 😱 The Koenigsegg Jesko Attack, spec’d to perfection in blue with yellow accents, a beautiful tribute to its Swedish roots, looked absolutely unreal. 🇸🇪 We had the privilege of capturing it lakeside in Como, parked at a dream location generously offered by a local homeowner. 🤌 The setting, the car, the vibe… everything came together for a truly unforgettable moment. 😍

The Furkapass is one of the top destinations for Aston Martins in Switzerland. 🇨🇭 Taking a dark grey 2013 Vanquish up there and doing a quick photoshoot by the iconic sign was every bit as special as you'd imagine. 😎 The pass famously features the James Bond road from the 1965 film Goldfinger, where Bond follows Goldfinger’s Rolls-Royce Phantom III in his legendary Aston Martin DB5. 🎬 Driving with the Vanquish along the same route felt like a proper homage, the perfect car, the perfect road, and a location deeply rooted in cinematic history. 🎞

Yesterday couldn’t have been more perfect, sunny, warm, and the kind of weather that practically begs you to hit the Swiss mountain passes. ☀️ So that’s exactly what I did. 😎 First up was the iconic Gotthardpass, followed by the dramatic climbs of Furka and Grimsel, and I wrapped it all up with a run over the stunning Sustenpass. 🏔

Along the way, the roads were alive with the sound of horsepower. 🔊 I came across all kinds of eye candy, McLarens, Aston Martins, Ferraris, you name it. 😍 But one group really stood out: a Dutch crew spotted high up on the Grimselpass, far from their flat homeland. 🇳🇱

It was the kind of lineup that made you stop and stare. 🤤 Some of the cars we’ve seen before in the Netherlands, like the striking yellow Ferrari 458 Speciale, a red F12berlinetta, a white-and-red Porsche 911R, and the black BMW M4 G82 Coupé Competition x Kith. 📸 But there was one standout that hasn’t been spotted back home, a stealthy matte grey Lamborghini Huracán LP640-4 Performante. 💪

It’s always fascinating to follow the journey of these supercars and see the places they end up. 🌍 There’s something surreal about seeing these machines, usually spotted on the flat roads of the Netherlands, now carving through the tight, winding turns of the Swiss Alps, nearly 800 kilometers from home. 🇨🇭 It just goes to show that car culture knows no borders. 🙌
