It is bittersweet to share that Jett has been medically released from professional training. I received a call from his trainer on Wednesday that he has been diagnosed with grade 1 elbow dysplasia, which disqualifies him from continuing in the program. He has spent the last 42 days working so hard in professional training, and has already made lots of progress in his commands! Despite having to be released from Canine Companions he will still live a happy healthy life with plenty of adventures. I have decided to adopt him back as my pet!

This is not what I was expecting Jett’s forever to be and am sad he will not be able to graduate as service dog. I am thankful for everyone that has supported us and the family @clemsoncaninecompanions has given me. I am so grateful for the hard work his trainer @haleys.helpers has poured into him. She told me he was happy boy and so fun to work with and has learned the “push” cue for drawers/ cabinets and beginning training for retrieving. I was so happy to hear that he was having a good time and enjoying working with his trainer!
I can’t wait to see my boy again- forever starts Friday!! stay tuned for video. by @2hannah_hanson
