“Plantita Magik” 32 ft. tall | Acrylic and aerosol on stucco Arthur A. Benjamin Health Professions High School, Sacramento This mural was commissioned to represent an herbalist, but for me, the meaning goes much deeper. I see an indigenous curandera who understands our connection to the earth. Beyond the physical properties of a plant, she’s connecting with spirit—infusing every remedy with intention and creating medicine through heart resonance. #sacramentomuralist #muralist #plantmedicine #chicanoartist #alchemy by @2hermano
Got the final touches on this mural. This piece tells the story of Popocatépetl and Iztaccihuatl, the legendary Aztec volcanoes that stand as a symbol of eternal love over Mexico City. My version is a nod to the famous painting by Jesús Helguera. You can find this mural at the brand new restaurant, La Ciudad, in West Sacramento opening soon. A huge thanks to Ernesto Delgado for the idea to bring this piece of history and heart to his new spot. #Popocatepetl #Iztaccihuatl #AztecMyth #MuralArt #WestSacramentoArt #EternalLove #MexicanFolklore #JesúsHelguera #sacramentomuralists #PublicArt #sacramentomuralist by @2hermano

From the blank wall to a work in progress. The abstract painting I made last year plus a lot of characters I drew made up this new mural I’m working on. #sacramentomuralist #muralartist #chicanoartist #fruitridgecommunitycenter by @2hermano

Freehanded sketch to start this project. Over the last year, I drew about 11 characters for this piece, and we landed on five. After six months of construction delays, I've got this wall nearly memorized. #sacramentomuralist #muralartist #muralist #fruitridgecommunitycenter #chicanoartist by @2hermano

Current studio mood: complete freedom. Works on paper mean zero stakes, which means room to make beautiful mistakes. Pushing new textures, heavier colors, and total randomness. #400rabbits #abstractart #ometochtli #intuitiveart by @2hermano
