Our world turned upside down a year ago when my mom was diagnosed with leukemia and had a stroke shortly after. Just because you survive cancer or a stroke doesn’t mean you go back to how everything used to be. It’s a whole new life with many adjustments that we are still trying to get used to. Her strength in her recovery has been my drive to start a business with a purpose. I do this for you momma ♥️ #The2ndChanceCandle #The2ndChanceProject #HandmadeCandles #CoconutSoyCandles #CleanCandles #NonToxic #EcoFriendly #MotherDaughter #2ndChance #StrokeSurvivor #CancerSurvivor #Candles #CandlesOfInstagram #LatinaOwned #CandleGram #Handmade #CandleLovers by @2ndchancecandleco

This year’s annual fundraiser came with unexpected challenges but we pushed through and tackled it just as momma would’ve done 😌 I was in my head for weeks doubting and questioning myself until I shut that voice up real quick and remembered who I am, who I serve, and how important this mission is. 🙌🏻 I’m so absolutely grateful for all the hands and hearts that came together to make this year’s fundraiser so successful. 🥹 From the gorgeous handmade backdrop by @adas_twisted_creations to the stunning centerpieces by @miflorecitaflowershop so many talents shined through and I’m so so thankful to everyone who contributed and supported The 2nd Chance Project. Every year as we approach my mom’s birthday, I’m hit with so many emotions but knowing that we get to do something positive and special in her name makes all the planning and preparation worth it. All the meetings with my lovely Brenda from @elev8planning helped bring my vision to life! You are truly so amazing at what you do! 🤎 To all the Dovies who came, supported our vendors and celebrated 2nd Chances with us…I love you guys 🥹 This is only year 3! Our focus moving forward will be to continue growing our Community Wellness Events and offering services to our cancer and stroke community in more cities. We will spread love to those going through a difficult period and hope to continue connecting survivors and fighters with much needed resources and care. Thank you momma for guiding me from heaven and not letting me give up when things get tough 🤍🪽 I’ve already gone through the worst, unimaginable thing possible 😌 at this point nothing can bring me down 🤗 Let’s do thisssss! A little behind the scenes for a very special project...my Grandma’s 80th birthday candles 🕊️✨ These 3 oz candles were created to match her colorful Mexican-inspired celebration, complete with custom labels, cork lids, and our signature white dove. If you’re planning a birthday, shower, wedding, or corporate event, let’s create candles that are customized to your theme. #2ndChanceCandleCo #CustomCandles #PartyFavors #CleanBurning by @2ndchancecandleco
