I wish the internet trend churning plebs hadn't used this a while back. I remember a brief surge of Nutshell audio on IG reels a little while back and like... I understand it's a cool new song to a lot of people, but this like an anthem for a thread of society that will never be accepted and it's been my theme song since highschool. I'm talking those autistic people who aren't quirky enough for you to find something you like in them, requiring you to, idk, build a relationship with them like you do other people... I'm talking those depressed people who don't simply have a chemical imbalance. They missed a formative milestone and their malaise only adds to the condemnation imposed on the. I'm talking people so hopelessly overwhelmed by social cues and sensitivity to everything that simple face to face conversations can be excruciating for them because they're afraid that the slightest micro-spasm in their cheek will prompt an onslaught of inquiries, harsh judgement, and punishment just for existing. I'm talking the people that got bullied pretty hard in school but never became the stereotypically power tripping managerial type or law officer everyone thought they would and they're just slowly burning out and fading away for not being as normal or as cool as everyone else and if the exclusion persists in adulthood, it's seen as a sign of shrouded evil.
