So this is my first attempt at making a pair of jeans!

I was really hesitant to start bc I didn’t have certain machines to help finish the pair the “right way” (Buttonholer, belt loop machine, bartack) BUT I was given a few tips and some encouragement by some pros along the way to help get me going!

The pattern is based on a 1947 Levi’s 501 from @j.e.landis and trust that everything needs some fine tuning and adjusting (felled seams are COOKED, keystone is TOAST, pockets are small, and I forgot to topstitch the inseam 😅) but there are some details I really like..

• Non-Selvedge Levi’s Denim (Rapier/ Projectile Loom)
• American & Efird thread Tex 60 & 80 (Cream, White and Red)
• Merrow Shell stitch fly facing/ fly shield
• Flannel lined pockets
• Antique brass nipple rivets
• Italian Sheepskin leather Patch
• CHAINSTITCH HEM 😮‍💨 (Singer 302)
• High Density Crystallina “Wrangler” patch

My absolute favorite part about this pair, are the belt loops! Instead of proper belt loops made with the right machine for the job….these were made on a double needle machine with different spacing and no cover stitch, then bar-tacked using a single needle machine, a lot harder than it sounds but so rewarding to see how clean it looks….feelin just like my big bro Tilden 🤠

Jeans making is crazy tough, and to the trained eye these might be a little horrendous, BUT! Compared to what’s out there? For my first pair ever??? I FUCKING LOVE THEM.

Tees for Under Negative Intent out of Sacramento, CA

I remade the classic UNI 2023 demo cover, translating the prison style pen ink work into some very intricate halftones onto a 305 mesh screen. I used Bears Navy from @mclogansupply and @americanapparel 1301

What a dream come true!

New to the Stu is a 4 x 6 M&R Sidewinder that was kept in pristine condition by the good people over at Squeegees Print Shop (Was used only 3 times 🤯) and as an added bonus, an 18 x 24 Vastex Autoflash!

This is a MASSIVE upgrade from my 4 x 1 Riley Hopkins Jr press that I’ve had for 5 years! This new setup is something I’ve dreamt of for the longest time and I just can’t believe it’s here, I am so grateful to everyone involved and could not be happier with how the process turned out.

Massive thank you to Juan @squeegeeprints for breaking the press down and being very helpful throughout the entire process, I promise I’ll take real good care of it 💪🏻

& huge thanks to my pops and closest friends for helping with the setup at the studio!!
