The Grandview Wolves finished 6-6 in 2025, earned the No. 11 seed in the 5A playoffs and advanced to the second round after beating Chatfield 32-13.

Now Grandview returns a core with real recruiting weight.

( @schimbergm )Matthew Schimberg, a 6-foot-6, 235-pound tight end, is ranked No. 6 among Colorado’s 2027 prospects by ( @rivals.ig ) and remains uncommitted.

( @4taz_09 )Quentin Dorsey, Kansas commit, a 6-foot-3.5, 240-pound edge defender, is ranked No. 8 in the state.

**Jaxson Flores, Northern Arizona commit has transferred to Cherry Creek.

The offense now turns to incoming starting quarterback ( @wise_lander10 ) Lander Wise, who takes over after Blitz McCarty moved on to Idaho. DSM got an early look at Wise during Broncos 7-on-7 competition.

TWO-SPORT STANDOUT

@j0rdan1of1 is back on the radar.

We featured the Cherokee Trail athlete earlier this year during basketball season, and now he’s flashing on the football field too.

Mitchell split two defenders, outran the defense and found the endzone in a much needed win for Cherokee Trail.

Football. Basketball. Playmaking.

Remember the name, Jordan Mitchell Class of 2027. Jordan currently holds offers from Syracuse & New Mexico. taken in Denver, Colorado by @303preps

Bracket blown open

No. 9 Cheyenne Mountain went on the road and beat No. 1 Air Academy 17-6 to punch its way into the 4A semifinals.

It was not just an upset, it was a takeover.

Senior Weber Rowell scored 4 goals and freshman Sage Bowan added 3 as Cheyenne Mountain completely flipped the top of the bracket.

When a No. 9 seed knocks out the No. 1 team by 11 goals, that is the kind of playoff result that changes the entire 4A title picture.

Arden Walker said the biggest lesson from his NFL “big bros” is simple: the next level is all about the details.

At Colorado Buffaloes NFL Showcase Pro Day in Boulder, Walker told @denversportsmedia that the advice he’s gotten from players already in the NFL has been about more than testing numbers.

It’s about being mentally prepared every single day, treating football like a job at the next level, and producing when it matters.

From Cherry Creek to Colorado football, Walker’s path has been shaped by people who understand what the jump to the NFL really takes. That mindset showed up Tuesday at CU Pro Day, where Walker was one of the Buffs trying to boost his NFL Draft stock in front of scouts. taken in University of Colorado Boulder by @303preps
