Not all heroes wear capes. Some wear running shoes and spend their morning telling me, “You’re going too fast,” on repeat. 🏅💬

I honestly don’t think I would have made it through this 10K without my friend @sharonrivas . Every time I wanted to sprint (and burn out by mile 2), she was right there pulling me back. Every time my brain said “stop,” her voice kept me going.

Because of her, I didn’t just finish—I ran the whole thing without stopping and felt AMAZING at the end. 🏃‍♀️💨

They say the hardest part is lacing up your shoes. For me, it was building a whole new life around discipline. For 8 months, I showed up. 7 AM alarms, learning to run, focusing on my heart rate, and holding myself accountable.

This race isn’t just about finishing; it’s about celebrating every early morning and every step that got me here. I’ve fallen in love with this journey and the person it pushed me to become.
