Winter weather is right around the corner, and our Public Services crews are putting in the work to keep Cincinnati moving safely from the first snowfall through the season. As part of our preparations, some of our best snowplow operators recently participated in the Central Ohio Snow Plow Roadeo competition. Congratulations to Mrward Banks on his 2nd Place finish at this fun and unique skills competition!

Thank you for proudly representing the City of Cincinnati and the Department of Public Services with your skill, professionalism, and dedication. We’re proud of your outstanding accomplishment!

Last week, our Community Responder Teams were recognized for their outstanding work in partnership with the City Manager's Office, Cincinnati Police Department, Cincinnati Collaborative Foundation, and Cincinnati Public Schools at Government Square Transit Center.

Throughout the school year, Community Responders work alongside these valued partners to build positive relationships with students, residents, and visitors navigating the transit system. Whether assisting community members, engaging with students, or welcoming visitors, they help create a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment at Metro transit centers and throughout the city.

We are proud of their dedication and grateful for the positive impact they make every day. Congratulations to our Community Responder Teams and our community partners on this well-deserved recognition!

Our Fall 2026 311Cincy Citizens Academy cohort recently wrapped up an exciting journey of learning and engagement! Throughout the program, participants connected with 11 City departments to gain a behind-the-scenes look at how local government works alongside residents to improve services, solve problems, and strengthen our communities.

Representing neighborhoods from Sayler Park to Mt. Washington, this year's cohort included both lifelong Cincinnatians and newer residents who have proudly chosen to call the Queen City home. The academy concluded this week with a discussion featuring City leaders and a collaborative brainstorming session focused on the future of our city.

The enthusiasm, curiosity, and commitment shown by this group continue to inspire the 311Cincy team and our partners across the City. Thank you to everyone who helped make this program a success! Keep an eye out for applications for our next Citizens Academy sessions in 2027. by @311cincy

We were excited to join the University of Cincinnati Community Engagement Team last week to connect with students and community members. Our team shared information about accessing non-emergency City services through 311 and discussed the important role of 911 in public safety and emergency preparedness.

The more Bearcats who know how to use these resources, the stronger our community becomes. Thanks for the opportunity to educate and empower! University of Cincinnati's Bearcat mascot poses with a 311Cincy sign in front of the Cincinnati 311 and 911 information table. by @311cincy

We kicked off the Fall 2026 Citizens Academy this week! During Session 1, participants learned how to submit service requests, how 311 processes and routes requests to the right department, and how the City uses data and technology to improve services.

From lifelong Cincinnatians to neighbors who recently made the Queen City home, this year's cohort brings a wide range of perspectives and experiences. We're excited to get to know them over the next three weeks and empower them to use 311 to advocate for their neighborhoods and communities. by @311cincy
