NikNak – Eternities

Eternities was a live, improvised piece first performed at the 4DSOUND Residency at Stone Nest in May 2023, co-produced by 33-33. Featuring improvised manipulations on turntables, NikNak escorts listeners on a journey that distorts time and space in a strange, encompassing way.

In NikNak's own description, "the piece starts out with the familiarity of a vinyl crackle, but soon evolves into cyclical repetitions that mirror some of the patterns in life, whether we recognise them or not.”

Lol K – Languid Haunt The Trees

Continuing an exploration into the sonic worlds of experimental South London nightclubs, the two members of Lol K (Junior XL + CJ Calderwood) extract textures more commonly associated with dancefloors and reimagine them against a backdrop of dark acoustic and orchestral instrumentation creating a nuanced and singular album that draws on disparate sources to play with and deconstruct traditional ideas of track structure, melody and genre.

‘Languid Haunt the Trees’ consists of 10 tracks that speak to concealment, the subterranean, the afterlife and mediumship.

Lol K – the duo of CJ Calderwood and Junior XL – return with a live performance celebrating the release of their second album, Languid Haunt the Trees.

The album continues their exploration into the sonic worlds of experimental South London nightclubs, drawing from the textures and pulse of the city’s nocturnal culture, reimagining them through a palette of dark acoustic and orchestral instrumentation. The result is a hallucinatory sonic world – haunted by omen, restless poltergeists and psychic ritual – where dancefloor intensity dissolves into spectral ambience.

On December 3rd at @ormsideprojects Lol K will be joined by Rael & angelicaa

Rael is an experimental hip-hop artist making text-and-speech based music. Rael is Warped experimental beats and existential poetry, the pits and peaks of love and imagination, late nights and, long walks through the city. The Sound world is dark and beats a slow rythm, drawing on post-dub, guitar music and trip-hop. Rael is formally of the disaster pop group Nukuluk.

angelicaa is a musician and composer from London, generating her sound with genre-fluidity, collaboration and chorus. Merging modes of contemporary electronica with classic alt rock and pop. She has been releasing music as an independent solo artist since 2018, working with peers and producers, and performing within London’s underground music scene and creating for radio.

Welcome to the Warp Publishing roster @fujilllllllllllta.

In an ongoing collaboration with @33.33.co, Warp Publishing are pleased to represent the visionary Japanese sound artist and composer Yosuke Fujita aka FUJI||||||||||TA.

FUJI||||||||||TA creates a unique sound art, taking various natural phenomena that respond to his interest in wanting to hear unheard sounds and noises. In 2009, Fujita hand-fabricated an original instrument, an eleven-pipe organ. Since then, he has released a number of different projects and live sets, all that contain a common thread: the use of air and minimalist sound. The release of “iki” on @hallowgroundlabel in 2020 led to widespread acclaim outside Japan, and he has since been touring Europe and North America presenting these works.

FUJI||||||||||TA has worked with ∈Y∋ (Boredoms), Keiji Haino, Rashad Becker and Ka Baird. His works have been presented at the Venice Biennale, Rewire, Unsound, Big Ears, and Pioneer Works among others.

Limited Repress
TTTT013 NOISEEM — FUJI|||||||||||TA
@fujilllllllllllta

100 copies only. Originally released in 2021 on 33-33. Available exclusively via our Bandcamp, link in bio.

‘A major wash of out-zone goop from Japanese sound artist and pump organ builder Yosuke Fujita, “Noiseem” loops his well-worn organ drones and water experiments into the textural domain of musique concréte and early electronics. Properly submerged material: like Kali Malone or Tomoko Sauvage doused in processes inspired by Canadian pioneer Hugh Le Caine, 0PN or Tangerine Dream’s Edgar Froese.’ — @boomkatonline by @33.33.co

MODE 2024.06.01
INCAPACITANTS + PUCE MARY
LIVE AT WALL&WALL

In one of the most punishing collaborations in recent noise history, @_muldvarp_ and Incapacitants join forces for a blistering live recording, captured at MODE Tokyo, 2024. The album stands as an unfiltered document of one of the most powerful Incapacitants performances ever recorded, capturing the raw energy and unrelenting force of the moment.

This project is a collaboration across generations, bringing together the pioneering Japanese noise duo Incapacitants and the uncompromising sonic force of Puce Mary. Having admired Incapacitants for many years, Puce Mary (Frederikke Hoffmeier) steps into their sonic world with reverence and intensity, merging her own distinct textures with their raw, unrelenting chaos.

The recording unfolds in two distinct phases. The first half features Incapacitants’ signature full-frequency annihilation—Toshiji Mikawa and Fumio Kosakai conjuring an unrelenting storm of sound, chaotic yet surgically precise. As the set reaches its breaking point, Puce Mary enters the fray, layering her searing textures and controlled eruptions over the maelstrom, driving the performance into even harsher, more ecstatic realms.

The album’s artwork features striking photography from the event by @ikaspart , capturing the intensity and spirit of the performance.

The release has been expertly mastered by revered U.S. noise artist John Wiese, ensuring that every jagged edge and overwhelming frequency is preserved in its full force. taken in WALL&WALL by @33.33.co

About Freedom
自由についての唄
@posuposuotani

Posuposu Otani, the mysterious throat singer and songwriter known for his unique fusion of beautiful open-tuned guitar and the Kohkin (Jew’s Harp), is set to release his first physical album, Posuposu Otani, on April 25, 2025. The album explores rich harmonics, fluid rhythms, and a focus on overtones and timbre, evoking moods reminiscent of Impressionist painters.

The album was introduced to the London-based label 33-33 by Posuposu Otani’s friend and fellow Yamanashi resident FujIIIIIIIIIIIIta, the renowned experimental musician with close ties to the label.

Born in 1972 and raised in Kamakura, Japan, Posuposu Otani’s musical journey began at age 20 with a passion for punk music, leading him to experiment with home recordings on a 4-track tape deck. His diverse experiences, including time spent in San Francisco’s skateboarding scene and travels through India and the Republic of Sakha to study the Kohkin, have profoundly influenced his sound.

Since 2006, he has been a prominent figure in the Tokyo and Yokohama underground music scenes, closely associated with the legendary experimental record label Kouenji Enban. In 2017, he relocated to the mountainous regions of Kanagawa to immerse himself in “mountain-music and mountain life,” further shaping his artistic vision.

Posuposu Otani’s lyrics often reflect his deep connection to the natural world and the human experience, addressing themes of freedom, nature, and self-discovery. Songs like Finding Fungus and About Freedom highlight his focus on the organic world and its parallels to the inner human journey.

Posuposu Otani’s full album will be available for streaming and purchase on Bandcamp and other major music platforms on April 25th, 2025.
