Some images from ‘Art of Dressing’ at @carpark_projects appointment only at the gallery. Fashion designer goes painting. For the past 18 months I have been painting with on my models muses that have walked in shows , been photographed in look books , fashion editorials been there through out the whole creative process of making fashion for many years. This exhibition is in recognition of the intimate relationship a fashion designer has with her romantic beautiful inspirational muses

What a pleasure to attend the opening of “Art of Dressing” by Rebecca Paterson - legendary Australian fashion designer - the mind, heart, and soul behind the extraordinary haute couture label 33Poets. Through her romantic, gothic, and feminine creations, she allows us to step into her marvellous world – a mysterious fusion of fashion and painting.

Thank you, Rebecca – I’ve been a huge fan of your work for many years, and it was an absolute delighted to be there!

Hi there it’s been a very long time since I have posted as most of you know I took 18mths plus off and during this time began to work in mixed medium of my beautiful muse gang this one of the beautiful @ehkluedo positioned by the painting of. Herself title ‘Erin 1’ There is an exhibition of the muse works entitled ‘Art of Dressing’ we opened the end of last week @carpark_projects. discretely in slowfashion etiquette. ‘The Art of Dressing’ is open by appointment. If you would like a viewing please contact the gallery or myself and I can organise for you.
This exhibition a beautifully curated exhibition of paintings and edition prints of the beautiful romantic girls that have walked for me many times. My gang of muses include romantic beauties @agraceschofield , @jemmmaland and @tegandesmond and the magical Erin @ehkluedo. There are so many people that encouraged this journey that I would like to thank my muse gang listed above then the wonderful @davidcharlescollins @chinoiserie.fineart @ishmarrington @carpark_projects @christopher__crouch for curating the space, always the amazing makeup artist performer @ashbrockman @ashbaroque @evafernandezartist @strykermyers @felicitygroom for her beautiful voice @friendsofleviv for the glorious table of mouth fulls @riverbankestate glasses of glorious wine @joniinthemoon @_kirralea_ my first muse now muse and amazing photographer @chrishuzzard for the most beautiful images of the evening .❤️ and my supportive fashion agent @jonlaing_

During my early life in Sydney I had a shop called ‘DI MARZIO LINE’ - named by Kirke Godfrey from a band called ‘Big Red Tractor’- a pick up for a guitar- I hope that is correct. As many of you would know that music and my work intertwined and I did lot of sound work with Kirke during my early performance work. These shots are from the early 80’s.
After such provocative early work such as ‘Modification of Women’ etc I found ‘yoga’ and started to do more reflective work - these images which by chance I recently found are of the garments I was making at the yoga time maybe a bit literal and naive but I feel they have a sweet resonance to them and reflective of where I am at again now in this strange world of fashion. There is a stillness and again reflective quality.
I also thought they were beautiful for this festive season where I try to keep quite still - sometimes I’m still sometimes not!!
These images are from the early 80s and are of my girlfriends of that time. We a bunch of girls took a trip down from Sydney to Melbourne to show these garments at the Melbourne Fashion Festival in St Kilda we got lost in Caulfield on Saturday morning- a packed Holden of punk girls in awe of the streets.
When I remember those times it was so inclusive bands helping each other designers promoting bands, friends walking for designers etc boys in bands wearing my clothes- organic collaboration I would love to know where those images are- if any one knows please DM me.
I love a crew around to work with bounce off etc.
So MErRy CHriStmAs and a hAPoy NeW yEAr from all of us that are a part of 33POETS we are taking a longest break to consider where we are in this fashion world.
We might come back rampaging in peace.

This image is from a few months ago at Parliament House at a wonderful gathering for Parliamentary Friends of Fashion an initiative by co convenors @ayormakurchuot @samatharowe @jessicastojkovskimla @wilsontucker_mlc @klarasouthmetro. Thank you for inviting me to be on the runway with the other WA Designers and students.
Beautiful evening showcasing WA designers to live classical strings. There were many enthusiasts of fashion in attendance and guest speakers including the Premier Hon Roger Cook MLA . Also attending the Minister for Culture and the Arts Hon David Templeman MLA.
33POETS will be having an extended time of 3 months off to research into new couture work including jewellery as seen here.

Painting on beautiful Alex @agraceschofield I started during covid and keep drawing and painting on all the images of models muses I have loved to work with over many years.
I plan to do a series of limited edition prints through @chinoiserie.fineart which will be available for sale.
Will keep you updated when the first prints are completed
