Last night I attended the premiere of @cursafilmul – one of the most ambitious Romanian film productions to date.
A massive project, with an incredible team and remarkable attention to detail.

The premier took place @cinemacity_romania

Honored that 34 35 Studio was part of this journey, taking care of the behind-the-scenes production over more than 47 production days.
It was a complex project, full of lessons and challenges that pushed us to grow and refine our craft.

Grateful for the chance to work alongside true professionals who bring passion and excellence into everything they do.

🎬 Go see #Cursa in cinemas — it’s an experience worth feeling on the big screen.

I’ll definitely go again soon, this time in 4DX — because I didn’t get to fully live it yesterday.

Vasile Todinca is a young filmmaker from Romania. He studied acting and directing at Babeș-Bolyai University, where he was mentored by Radu Jude. This led to him working as an assistant director on Radu Jude’s film Bad Luck Banging or Loony Porn (awarded the Golden Bear in 2021) and the international production The Watcher (Sundance, 2022), among others. He directed the short film Try Again (2018), as part of his university degree, which was selected in Transilvania IFF and received the Best Script award at OKaua Festival, and the short film Jackpot (2024), co-directed with Vlad Popa, which was selected for Tallinn Black Nights IFF. He has also produced the short film The Bed of Procustes (Locarno, 2018) and participated in workshops such as IDFA Academy, Aristoteles, and FILM+.

So grateful to have had the opportunity to work with him.

Anul trecut am avut bucuria să colaborez cu regizorul Vasile Todinca la scurtmetrajul Alişveriş, selecționat în competiția oficială Semaine de la Critique – Cannes 2025.

Deși în film apare un singur cadru filmat de mine cu drona – începutul, la răsărit – am petrecut peste 3 ore lucrând cu regizorul la mai multe cadre. O experiență intensă, coerentă și extrem de plăcută.

Lucrul cu Vasile Todinca e clar, logic și creativ. Tipul acela de colaborare care te face să simți că ai nimerit exact în locul potrivit, alături de oamenii potriviți.

🇬🇧 Last year, I had the joy of collaborating with director Vasile Todinca on the short film Alişveriş, which was selected this year for the official competition of Semaine de la Critique—Cannes 2025.

Although the final cut only includes one drone shot I filmed—the sunrise that opens the film—I had the chance to work alongside the director for over three hours on various scenes. It was a clear, creative, and rewarding collaboration.

Vasile Todinca is precise, grounded, and artistic — the kind of director who brings clarity and depth, frame by frame.

🎞️ Synopsis:
Tatiana, o femeie rămasă fără loc de muncă, își petrece zilele vânzându-și lucrurile personale pentru a supraviețui.
Astăzi o așteaptă un termen limită important — iar pentru a-și păstra acoperișul deasupra capului, s-ar putea să fie nevoită să își vândă o parte din propriul corp.

🇬🇧 Tatiana, an unemployed woman, spends her days selling her personal belongings to survive.
Today, an important deadline awaits — and she may be forced to sell a piece of her body just to keep a roof over her head.
