It was a blast helping out @thaddeussealy with his gig for the inaugural AfriCaribbean Trade & Investment Forum 2022. What better way to unite people than through food.

This event featured some of the talent headlining the Barbados Food & Rum Festival which has returned after a 3 year hiatus due to the Covid 19 Pandemic.

The talent is back and very eager to throw down after such a long time.

The festival kicks starts officially on October 1st.

We'll be back on October 30th for the finale to throw down once again!

A day in the life of a private chef

My day started with a quick supermarket run at @massystoresbb to select my produce for the clients.

I purchased my vegetables and spices first then I grabbed my proteins and dairy.

Next it was on to the client’s vacation home and time to unpack the car.

It was my first time being there so I quickly assessed my work space and did a quick set up for ease, flow and practicality.

I then preheated my oven, started my dessert prep, butchered my proteins and seasoned them.

Afterwards, I set the table and began to cook my proteins, work my starches and sauces.

Lastly I plated up each course, took them out to the guests and explained what was being served, cleaned up the kitchen and left.

Except my 9 to 5 started at 4:53am.😮‍💨🧑🏾‍🍳

Before the sun came up, I was already on the road to prepare breakfast to my clients who had golf for 6:30am.
