Sometimes you need to get a little sideways before you come correct. Rotisserie time. New floors, battery pan , longitininals, and inner fender well.
Will probably just finish up chassis and interior while preserving the outside patina
Gonna be unique for sure. New owner down the line could keep as is or finish the resto with just the outside

If these wheels could talk. There’s no bringing this chrome back. After almost 70 years of being on the road, these wheels have seen a thing or two. # we will either re-chrome them or replace but hang onto the originals of course

Only the eccentric and deep data geeks would know who Nicholas Von Rosenberg was. The most famous importer for Porsche from an introduction in the early 50s until mid 60s was sold in Max Hoffman, out of New York almost all Porsches entered the North American continent through Max Hoffman‘s hands, Nicholas Was one of Max sons and open the dealership on the West Coast where this 1955 Pre coupe was delivered

note the last time this was registered in 2019 and according to the previous owner was running up until that point. We are currently undergoing a solid refresh of the 1600 engine and will hopefully have it streaking down the boulevard in a month or less.

Getting ready to have this thing spin. Rotisserie bracket bolted to the original bumper mounts. This will allow us to turn the car like a grill chicken on the spit for adequate accessibility to the floors and longitudinal panels that need replacing.

This guy has a normal 1600 c motor currently. We revived and drove around the compound but too smoky for normal road consumption Note the required tools for Frankenstein engine revival: fire extinguisher ✔️. Ether starting fluid ✔️
Compression 125 all around
Leakdown: abysmal. Pulling motor and will rebuild. Goal: >30 days until turnkey.

Day 1. About a month ago this almost all original #1955porsche356 was extracted from a retired chicken farm in Auburn California. We have now begun a preservation ( note: not restoration ) to get this gem safe and roadworthy. Eventually might go back to original color ( Perl grau)but for now she’s staying patina Follow along and hope to have some live streams posted in another 30 days or so
