🎉GIVE IT UP FOR OUR WINNER!!!🎉 💵Eleanor is the FIRST winner of the '35Over35 InstaGrant'!!! 🏆Her winning Pitch: She's working on a 'Bad Day' journal, one with nary an inspirational quote in sight! 📓Sometimes you just need to vent and let it out and NOT hear - everything happens for a reason, and time heals all... yada yada yada 🤪No! F*ck that! 📓Instead, her journal will be a tool to help people process their bad days, because this sh*t SUCKS! 🤪And will be dotted with validating quotes like - "I can't believe something so stupid, took so long!" 🤓That's a paraphrasing of something Ben Franklin said in regards to electricity and his kite adventure. Lolz. 💵She plans to use the money towards working with three different printers to have demos she can hold in her hands to test out paper quality and PENS! ✍️Because nothing sucks worse than having your pen ink bleed through your journal pages! AGREE! 🥰Follow her and her incredible project over on @resilient.magnolia 👏 💰The Pot? It was $155 last night - instantly transferred on stage, in front of everyone! 🧾Next up: The Receipts! 🎟️Wanna be our next winner? Tickets are LIVE in the bio! 🙏🏼 A HUGE Thank you to everyone who bought tickets and came out!!! 🎩All of our 'Pitchers' are on our website, linked in the bio, but we'll also shout them out in another post! 🎭Venue Partner: @comedyartstheaterofclt ⚖️Judge: @chrisbeinguncommon ⚖️Judge: @kmarttheatreart_clt ⚖️Judge: abbynormaled // @comedyartstheaterofclt THANK YOU!!! 💵WELCOME TO '35OVER35' INSTAGRANT NIGHT💵 🤑What is this?! 💵An Instant Grant for people 35+, doing something new, done in the style of an Open Mic. 🤑YES - you read that right- it's INSTANT. 💵Why? Because. Ain't nobody got time for that! 📍Check the Bio // Links for Current Dates & Times. ✍️How do you apply?! You don't! No applications necessary. 👵If you're 35+ you've got more responsibilities and less time. You've also got enough life skills and experience that we know are transferrable to whatever you've got goin' on now. We get it. We wanna remove some barriers for you. 🧐How's it work?! 🎟️Simply buy a ticket, show up, put your name in the hat [if 35+], pitch to the judges if your name is chosen, the judges pick a winner, and the winner gets their money. ⏱️Right then. Right there. On the stage. In front of everyone. 🤗And then, kindly leave. It's past your bedtime. 🤓We'll be explaining it all, like Clarissa, in our posts so there's no confusion. In the meantime, we've got plenty of FAQ listed on the ticket page. Linked in our bio. 🧐Got questions? Drop 'em in the comments. 👴If you can hear this picture, you may be entitled to time-saving compensation. 👵Share this opportunity with all of your Creative, Elder Baddies! 🎟️And get your ticket! 🥘We're cooked! 💸All remaining scheduled InstaGrant Nights in 2026 are cancelled. 🤪There's so much to say, but no time to say it - which was the entire point behind this thing to begin with - LOL 😴We'll dive into the why of it all later, but for now - I wanna thank some people! 🙏Thank you to EVERYONE who said this was a fantastic idea, who shared a post, who told other people, who did what they could to get the word out! 🙏Thank you to EVERYONE who came to the very first 35over35 InstaGrant Night without fully understanding what it was, but heard "community funded InstaGrant" and said - bet. 🙏Thank you to EVERYONE who ever bought a ticket, donated, volunteered their time, sent a tip - thank you for your support! 🙏Thank you to EVERYONE who pitched and shared their dreams, their work, their projects! I'll never forget you all and the magic of that first one! Thank you! 🙏Thank you to our JUDGES! @chrisbeinguncommon @kmarttheatreart_clt @comedyartstheaterofclt @staycuriouswithrach @resilient.magnolia @the1civilian - thank you for believing in this and showing up! 🙏Thank you to @resilient.magnolia - our first [and only] winner!!! You are such a light in this world and I'm honored you were our very first winner! 🙏And my biggest thanks goes to Abby @comedyartstheaterofclt for not only believing in the idea, but continuously offering up highly coveted theater space for FREE to support this completely grassroots, community funded operation! And to @longhairmatt for being the most amazingly supportive partner who always believes in my ideas, and jumps in to help in whatever way I need! I love you both [differently lol] SO SO much and could not have done ANY of this without you!!! 💸What's next?! We're done for 2026 and the ONLY way to bring it back is to have help. If you're into it, let's talk - in 2027. Bc, like I said - ain't nobody got time... 💸Also, sometimes good, fantastic ideas start even smaller than you thought. $10 ticket - good. Aiming for monthly right away? Too much. And that's fine. 💸We dream, we do, we learn, we rest, we reset and we do again. 🥰ALL the love to EVERY creative working HARD! 👵🏼Bu taken in Comedy Arts Theater of Charlotte by @35over35grant

Come with me to judge people... but in a good way. 😂 I had the honor of serving as a judge for the very first 35Over35 InstaGrant Night, and what a reminder that there’s no expiration date on starting something new. The concept was simple. If you’re 35+ and have an idea, you pitch it live for a chance to receive funding that same night. No long applications. No waiting. Just vision, courage, and community showing up for one another. Getting to hear people share the ideas they’ve been carrying and building was genuinely inspiring. Some dreams were brand new. Some had been waiting for the right moment. Every single one mattered. Big thanks to everyone who pitched, and congratulations to the very first winner. Sometimes all people need is a little support and someone to believe in what’s next. by @35over35grant
