I recently spoke with AllBoxing about where things stand in my career, training alongside Tyson Fury, and what comes next.

– How is your preparation for your next fight going?
– Unfortunately, my October 2 fight was cancelled after my opponent withdrew.
We started looking for a replacement at the last minute, but the options weren’t right. Even Harper wasn’t really the right opponent - we were looking for someone more serious.
In the end, the fight was cancelled.
– So when are you planning your next fight?
– Right now, we’re waiting and looking at different options. We just found out the fight was cancelled, so unfortunately, there isn’t any information yet.

– Are you still in Tyson Fury’s camp right now?
– Yes, we’re training in Delray Beach Boxing club. It’s the great gym where I train all the time, and Tyson came to the States for his camp with SugarHill Steward.
I sparred with him early on, and I’m training alongside him now. I can tell he has a huge gas tank. When he’s in shape, he genuinely doesn’t get tired. And because of his experience, he knows how to manage his energy.
He’s in very good shape even now, training constantly, two sessions a day, basically training like he’s already in camp. Sugar actually holds him back a little so he doesn’t overdo it, since the fight is still a long way off.
We all doing bag work, body sparring and push each other. The gym always was alive, but right now there’s a steady stream of people coming in, taking photos and talking to him.

– If the Fury - Joshua fight happens, how do you see it playing out?
– I’ve never sparred Joshua, but I have sparred Tyson, and he’s a very adaptive and smart boxer. He can adapt to anyone, and one of his signature moves is changing stances during a fight. Like I said, he has a huge gas tank, he’s very fast, and like any heavyweight, he punches hard.
Joshua has a fairly straightforward style, and I think conditioning can be an issue for him because of how physically developed he is. At the same time, I think that’s both his gift and his curse.
I might be biased because Tyson is my friend, but even putting that aside, I still see Tyson winning early.

@drnvbxng
Unfortunately another opponent is out.
At this point, Aleksei Dronov is not fighting heavyweights. He is fighting availability.
Everyone likes the idea of fighting him until they remember one small detail: eventually, he gets to hit back.
This is becoming a very unique problem.
Finding heavyweights is easy.
Finding one who still wants the fight after watching Dronov is apparently a different sport.

CANCELED. Again.
Thank you for your support! 🙏
