The 39 Days Of July and SoundOn is proud to present our final day! Tonight we are going out with a bang!
Rick Buckman Coe at 6:00pm and Tonye Aganaba with the one and only Corrina Keeling with a killer band of locals at 7:00 pm.

This festival would not be the same with out the love and support of these people and originations to keep the music and arts alive... a huge thank you to everyone involved.

I am Trevor Linde, @trevormlinde , one of the tech's at the @DuncanShowroom . We are asking for your generous help to get our live streaming equipment fixed.

The #DuncanShowroom has been a pivotal and integral part of the Arts. Unfortunately, our last power outage and surge took out our streaming server and 3 cameras.

Since then, we have been operating the live stream on an old under powered laptop with only two cameras. We have always done our best to provide the necessary equipment for musicians and locals with high quality video and audio. All live streams are uploaded to our YouTube page.

The Duncan Showroom has been in the #CowichanValley for 17 years now and has birthed the very successful @39DaysOfJuly music festival. A free to the public event that offers touring, international and local talent. We have had thousands of performers come play on our venue stage and many others around the valley.

The COVID-19 crisis hit hard at arts, culture, and the creative economy. Adaptation to restrictions left us with no audience but we can still stream, We have been doing it for years.

Any funds generated will go directly towards replacing or fixing the equipment we use for our multi-camera stream.

It is the LAST day of the #39DaysofJuly2020 And, it's Monday, August 3rd, 2020. Today's schedule has a youthful vibe running through it to celebrate one of the longest running music festivals anywhere.

It's been a slice! This year's success for the festival is due primarily to the generosity of the sponsors/donors (and yes, we could surely use more - every amount counts - the absolutely inspired work of the team - @LongevityJohn , #TedCadillac , @TrevormLinde and @Malakaimusician , all the superior performers who gave it their all and occasionally stepped in for last minute cancellations, and helped us spread @The39DaysofJuly word far and wide!

The festival hasn't disappeared due to #livestreaming. You can watch, at your leisure, any or all of the performances throughout the 39 days. They are archived on the YouTube Channel for the 39 days and the link is in our Bio here. They are also archived on our Facebook Page.

And huge thanks to you - all the supporters, fans, subscribers, commenters, and #downtownduncan that let the @DuncanShowroom do its thing! May you all stay healthy and safe and #FullStreamAhead for our 10th anniversary in 2021.

Here's what's happening on our last day............

1pm Malakai Interviews- throughout the festival, Malakai conducted interviews with some of the main performers we had and this is an airing of some of those interviews
2pm - kid’s open mic – for all the young ‘uns to have a chance to send a video to all the relatives
3pm Jared and Jamie - one last time this dynamic duo hit our festival stage
4pm - – Malakai - (pictured) he is also a roadie for the festival as well as getting to be on stage performing
5pm - Greenlights - James said he would resurrect this band for the festival for two shows...here is the second one
6pm - Veronica and friends Veronica and co. ended the opening night and protocol states that she ends the closing night

It's Sunday August 2nd in the Cowichan Valley and it's the 38th Day of the #39DaysofJuly2020 . It has been a marvelous carpet ride with an excellent line up today and more for tomorrow.

Today has a country vein running throughout the day and night starting at noon and finishing at 9:30 p.m. That's a lot of expert scheduling by @LongevityJohn and he's been doing it for 38 days!

Noon - Jim Scales – he has the words, the voice and the guitar to sing you some fantastic classic country covers
1pm - Paul Washington Trio – seems fitting on country music appreciation day to honour the country swing end of thangs
2pm - Chris Andres – Chris is an ‘outlaw’ country singer/ songwriter that is gaining some recognition finally on the national scene...you will understand why if you tune in...probably his buddy Dave will share the two hours and give us all the real stuff
3pm - Dave Pittet . -(pictured) front man for the Johnny Cash tribute band ‘Big River’ he has a passion for ‘outlaw’ country and so I suspect he and Chris will be sharing both sets just having musical fun
4pm - Pine Box Rebellion - when musical guys have a family, they only get certain times to continue with their passion for music but when they do get some time in, they form a band and this is them
5pm Morien Jones – it was divine intervention, a slot became open last minute and remembering singer / songwriter Morien’s two previous performances for this year’s 39 Days of July we asked if he would please come back for yet another performance of his r&b / soul stylings
6pm - The Porter Brothers – a valley favourite, these dairy farming brothers are the real deal when it comes to sweet country styled roots rock
7:30pm -Jeff Plankenhorn – this Texas boy has been spending some time on the island and so loves what we do that he agreed to come play for our festival twice this year
8:30pm - Daniel Cook and the Radiators - sensible country veined songwriting from Vancouver Island, some of the finest I have ever heard #duncancowichanfestivalsociety #countrymusic taken in Duncan Showroom by @39daysofjuly
