I’m not even sure where to really begin but here I go . . . Brooke diagnosed @ 3 on my 29th Birthday. I felt so many emotions that day to this day I still can’t put them into words. My momma told me “Accept the challenge God gave you” & I jumped right in head first doing what I needed to do for her which resulted in me leaving my career job @ the Post Office because my daughter needed my undivided attention. . . . We went in, school for her needs, therapies Monday -Friday sometimes multiply a day & although she is still non-verbal she comprehends very well & has come ALONG way & as we continue to reach for the stars if she may never speak a full sentence to me in her life I will never leave her side, I’ll continue to be her biggest advocate & her safest place. . . . I told you back then Brooke West it’s me & you until the very end 👸🏾👧🏽💕💙🧩🤞🏾😘 Now you know they say he gives his toughest battles to his strongest soldiers & I’ve been through some things but Jan.2026 when Brycen received his diagnosis I remember sitting thinking “God really think I’m one of the strongest soldiers?” their dad had already been away & im living away, far away from my family , knowing that I now have to tend to 2 children who are similar but need me in different ways, tend to my middle child so she doesn’t feel left out , therapies Monday -Friday 2 times all alone because of the circumstances. But guess what? This is when I say I became a true adult💪🏾 I put my big girl panties on, put myself, my feelings & emotions to the side & made lemonade out of the lemons. . . Brooke & Brycen are so smart they amaze me everyday🥹 I am able to get them both to their therapies with no mix ups or interruptions & although I still have sleepless nights, locks on my refrigerator & door knobs, 1 who only wants Meat & Juice & the other who’s a night owl & screams & jumps all night I would not change the Best Job Title I have next to Mom is AUTISM MOM 💙🧩 & I will advocate, walk with, try my best to continue understand , take classes to learn, be patient & so much more until my last breathe. I am still learning Brycen
