We are the 2 cats that Mom is "mom" to: Caruso (long-hair tabby) and Simon (snowshoe Siamese). Lily Rose and Sarah both passed away late in 2021 😢

Caruso has himself a new job - pulling Santa's sleigh. Hope Santa doesn't mind a stop at the pet food store first. A cat can't pull the old guy and his overstuffed sleigh on an empty stomach! #tabbychristmas #tabbieswithjobs #tabbycatworlddomination #tabbycatlove #fatcatsrule #rescuedismyfavoritebreed #catlife taken in Philomath, Oregon by @3catmom3

My August garden. I finally got everything planted - even with total knee replacement in January and a sprained foot late last month. Deer are currently my biggest issue - the waterfall draws them into the garden and I won't deny them fresh water. The use of temporary fencing, deer resistant plants and deer spray somewhat mitigates the issue.
.
I planted a pollinator garden next to the veggie garden because the bees, butterflies and hummingbirds adore it - and because I think it's pretty. I'm harvesting cucumbers like crazy and picked my first tomato yesterday. Beans and zucchini are keeping us fed. Still waiting on the peppers, eggplants and the remaining tomatoes.

When we bought this house six years ago, there was nothing here but the hill, a solitary lilac and the retaining wall. My grandpa had a waterfall in his backyard that was magical to me as a child. I always wanted one. And thanks to @Shonnards and a lot of hard work, my waterfall is maturing gracefully. #gardeninoregon #gardenwaterfall #waterfall #oregongarden #oregongardening #oregonsummer #gardensofinstagram #gardening #philomathoregon #willamettevalley taken in Philomath, Oregon by @3catmom3

A few weeks into the veggie garden. It's been abnormally cool and rainy in the Willamette Valley of Oregon, so not much growth yet. Today is intermittently sunny, but more rain this weekend. The peony is a volunteer. I didn't plant it, but at least it's not a weed 🥰 #oregongarden #oregongardening #gardensofinstagram #veggiegarden #veggiegardening #vegetablegarden #raisedgardenbeds #raisedbedgarden #ididntplanthis #gardensinoregon #gardeninoregon #willamettevalley taken in Philomath, Oregon by @3catmom3

Finally got the garden beds prepared. It's been cool and rainy here in Oregon, so I've been working hard these last few days. Now, ready for the plants. Using a grid watering system from @garden_in_minutes . I used one last year and was pleased, so I purchased 2 more. Already planted broccoli and lettuce. I have no idea where the tarragon and peony (!) came from. I didn't plant these. #gardening #oregongarden #oregongardening #veggiegarden #veggiegardening #raisedbeds #raisedgardenbeds #raisedbedgarden #wateringplants taken in Philomath, Oregon by @3catmom3

Caruso loves his marshmallow bed. A bit of a tight squeeze though...😺......#tabbycatworlddomination #tabbycatlove #tabbycat #tabbycatsofinstagram #tabbycatsrule #fatcatlove #fatcatlove #sleepycat #sleepykitty #rescuecatsofinstagram #rescuecat #snugglecat taken in Philomath, Oregon by @3catmom3
