Are you traveling downtown this weekend for the Cincinnati Music Festival or next weekend for the Omega Phi Psi grand conclave? Keep in mind there are over 80 ambassadors within Downtown Cincinnati to help and assist visitors and residents alike! All ambassadors are trained in public safety, enhanced cleanliness and customer service. Acting as the eyes and ears of the Downtown Cincinnati Improvement District, they patrol downtown Cincinnati seven days a week from 7AM to 10PM. Ambassadors patrol the streets on foot, cleaning sidewalks and alleys and providing guides, maps and friendly assistance to visitors. The ambassadors are happy to provide safety escorts to Downtown destinations. To arrange an escort, call the Ambassador Hotline at (513) 623-3429. Originally established in Pendleton, @omegabeautycincy will mark the grand opening of its new location at 212 W. 12th Street in Over-the-Rhine (OTR) on Monday. Owner Michele Silvers is leasing the 2,600-square-foot space from Cincinnati Center City Development Corp. (3CDC). Located within The Annie, a mixed-use redevelopment completed by 3CDC in 2024, the spa occupies the property's ground-floor commercial space beneath 29 mixed-income apartments created through the restoration of four historic buildings near @washingtonparkotr. The new space, which is more than double the size of the former location, will allow Omega Beauty to operate more efficiently while accommodating additional clients and expanding both its team and service offerings Although the spa originally specialized only in permanent makeup services, it has grown over the last several years to include a Japanese Head Spa service – which includes scalp massage and deep relaxation treatment – in addition to facials, spray tans, lash extensions, liquid microneedling, and more. In its new location, Omega Beauty has also added scratch therapy to its list of services. This total relaxation experience offers a sensory reset through gentle scalp scratching and light ASMR-style touch applied across the scalp, neck, back, legs, and shoulders. Omega Beauty will celebrate its grand opening with a ribbon cutting ceremony Monday at 4PM, followed by champagne, desserts, a live DJ, giveaways and more. The event is open to the public and everyone is invited to join the celebration from 4 – 7PM. Following the grand opening, the spa will be open seven days a week from 9AM until 5PM. Leaders from Portman Holdings, @cityofcincygov, @hamiltoncountyohio, the State of Ohio, Cincinnati Center City Development Corp. (3CDC), @cincinnati_port, @visitcincy, and several other project partners gathered this morning to commemorate the start of construction on the Cincinnati Marriot Downtown – a critical component of Cincinnati’s $828 million Convention District Revitalization Plan. The celebratory event was held across the street from the project site in the newly renovated @cincyffc. During the ceremony, project and government leaders highlighted the development’s role in strengthening Cincinnati’s ability to attract major events while enhancing the overall visitor experience. They emphasized the project’s potential to support local businesses, stimulate economic activity, and drive long-term growth throughout the urban core. The groundbreaking is a major step forward for Downtown Cincinnati, bringing new energy, investment and opportunities to the urban core. The new hotel will serve as a gateway for visitors from around the globe, enhancing the city’s appeal as a destination for major conventions, events, and tourism. By providing high-quality accommodations directly connected to the First Financial Center, the project will help elevate Cincinnati’s profile on the national stage. At the project site, demolition work is underway. Upon completion, the development will feature a full-service hotel with 700 guest rooms, 60,000 square feet of meeting space, a 17,000-square-foot events terrace, and a range of upscale amenities designed to meet the needs of group, business, and leisure travelers. Originally opened in 2020 at 1432 Vine Street, Nostalgia Wine & Jazz Lounge is expanding into the neighboring spaces at 1428 and 1430 Vine Street in Cincinnati Center City Development Corp. (3CDC)'s Behlen Building. Owner Tammie Scott is now leasing all three storefronts from 3CDC, more than doubling the lounge's footprint from 1,650 to 3,653 square feet. Inspired by Cincinnati's rich musical heritage and iconic gathering places like the West End's Cotton Club, @nostalgiawineandjazz is an intimate, Black- and woman-owned wine and jazz lounge that blends culture, community and live entertainment. Featuring a curated selection of 40 wines with an emphasis on women- and minority-owned wineries, alongside traditional and contemporary jazz and soul performances, the lounge has become a destination for music lovers and wine enthusiasts alike. The expansion will introduce a catering kitchen, expanded patio seating, a pool lounge, and a dedicated listening room called The B-Side. Named after the hidden gems found on the flip side of a vinyl record, The B-Side will host artist listening parties, intimate performances, community gatherings and private events, creating even more opportunities for connection while allowing special programming to take place alongside the lounge's regular operations. The new catering kitchen will allow Nostalgia to introduce flatbreads and other small bites while continuing to welcome food from neighboring restaurants, including @soulsecrets.llc, for private events. The expanded patio will also better accommodate the lounge's loyal cigar community. Designed in partnership with @luminautarchitecture, the expansion will feature distinct aesthetics throughout. While the existing lounge reflects the 1950s and 1960s, The B-Side will celebrate vinyl culture with design inspired by the 1970s and 1980s.
