Step 2 for Ceramic 3D Printing: Loading the Tubes!

Once the clay is properly prepared, it’s time to load it into our newly designed quick-release tubes.

This can be done by hand, with a handloader (as shown), or with a pugmill.

Next up: installing the loaded tube and starting a print!

תכירו את השיתוף פעולה שלי ושל רון.

זה ללא ספק אחד משיתופי הפעולה הכי מגניבים שיצא לי לעשות.

האמת היא שהפרויקט הזה מלווה אותי כבר כמעט שנה. הכול התחיל מקיר בבית שלי שרציתי למלא באריחים. עיצבתי אותם במיוחד לנישה שיש לי בבית, אבל עם הזמן הרגשתי שזה עדיין לא המקום שהם באמת נועדו אליו. אז שמתי את זה בצד.

כמה חודשים אחר כך קיבלתי את הבשורה שהתקבלתי להציג ביריד צבע טרי. באותו רגע ידעתי שהפרויקט הזה חייב להיות שם. קודם כול כי אני פשוט אוהב אותו, אבל גם כי היה לי חשוב להראות לאנשים מה באמת אפשר לעשות עם הדפסה תלת ממדית בקרמיקה.

ברגע שהבנתי שאני משתתף בתערוכה, היה לי ברור שהאריחים צריכים להפוך לרהיט. ישר דיברתי עם רון. לא הייתי צריך להסביר יותר מדי הוא ישר נדלק על הרעיון, הדליק גם אותי, ומשם יצאנו לדרך.

בהתחלה חשבנו לבנות ארון, אבל די מהר הבנו שזה חייב להיות קונסולה. רון האלוף התחיל לעבוד על אינספור סקיצות וניסיונות, ואז, רגע לפני שהכול התחבר, פרצה המלחמה. לשנינו פשוט ירדה כל האנרגיה ליצור, ואפילו לחשוב על הפרויקט.

לרגע באמת חשבנו שזה כבר לא יקרה.

אבל כנגד כל הסיכויים, התערוכה נדחתה, המלחמה הסתיימה, חזרנו לעבודה וזאת התוצאה שאתם רואים כאן.

כל מה שצריך זה עוד קצת זמן כדי שרעיון יגיע בדיוק למקום שהוא היה אמור להיות בו.

This is without a doubt one of the coolest collaborations I've ever been part of.

This project has been with me for almost a year. It all started with a wall in my apartment that I wanted to cover with ceramic 3D-printed tiles. I designed them specifically for a niche in my home, but after a while, I realized that wasn't where they truly belonged. So I put the idea aside.

A few months later, I found out I had been accepted to exhibit at Fresh Paint. The moment I got the news, I knew this project had to be part of the exhibition. First, because I genuinely love it, and second, because I wanted to show people what's really possible with ceramic 3D printing.

As soon as I knew I was exhibiting, I realized the tiles needed to become a piece of furniture. I immediately called Ron. I barely had to explain the idea, he was excited from the first minute, which made me even more excited, and we got to work.

And this is the result.
