They say, “Just be yourself.” But what if your self isn’t singular? What if your identity isn’t one story, but an ecosystem?

I’ve always struggled with the idea that we’re supposed to choose 1 version of ourselves and stay there.

Artist. Strategist. Designer. Researcher. Writer…

None of those words have ever felt complete on their own.

We are constantly evolving.

I now sometimes introduce myself by my birth name, Sanghee Moon.
Sometimes she shows up through fashion, on the runway, film screen, or sometimes in a room full of artists.

And that’s okay.

For years, collage became my quiet language. Every upcycled piece, every accessory, every film, song, & artwork was a self-portrait. A conversation with the parts of myself I didn’t yet have words for.

As a transnational adoptee, I didn’t always know who I was or what I was searching for. My ADHD mind wandered through endless rabbit holes, collecting fragments, until I realized they weren’t detours at all. They were roots, quietly connecting everything I would eventually become.
So I created. I became.

That journey has evolved into what I now call ZEEEDZ.

A philosophy. A manifesto. An architecture for sovereign self-regeneration.

A way of seeing artistic practice not simply as expression, therapy, or research, but as a method for reclaiming identity, designing your ecosystem, & cultivating culture.
Because I don’t believe identity is something we discover.
I believe it’s something we cultivate.

Every garment.
Every film.
Every performance.
Every piece.
Every conversation is an act of remembering who we are & imagining who we can become.
When we transform ourselves, we cultivate culture.
And when we cultivate culture, we regenerate humanity.

That’s how we be the change.
That’s how we become the niche.
That’s how we quietly fight back.

I am still Ingrid Sanghee Edwards.
I am still Sanghee Moon.

I’ve simply stopped believing I had to choose.

Art taught me to turn grief into growth, pain into purpose, & identity into power.

Every time life tried to bury me, I planted another ZEEED.

Cultivate Culture.
Design Your Ecosystem.
Regenerate Humanity.

They asked me to be myself.

As though we all have only one.

Some days
We arrive as smoke.

Others,
as the blade hidden inside it.

An alter ego
isn’t a disguise.

It’s a door
the ordinary mind
is too polite to open.

How curious,

the parts we call imagined
often know the way home
better than our awakened selves.

Perhaps we were never meant
to just be ourselves.

Perhaps we were meant
to keep meeting ourselves,

one beautiful stranger
at a time.

After all,

we’re all mad here.

Some of us
simply wander
a little deeper down the rabbit hole.

Some nights feel like an opening.
A shift into a different reality.

The first edition of the arty party Tuin Feest felt exactly like that. A beautiful entrance into the rabbit hole. A space where worlds blurred, where the unexpected shaped the atmosphere, and where the energy of Amsterdam’s original scene met a new generation ready to explore.

Original gangsters of the city showed up alongside fresh voices, creating a shared moment rooted in presence, style, sound, and art.

This is what happens when the right people gather and let things unfold naturally.
When culture is given space to emerge through people, energy, and interaction.

Grateful to BeatuniQue aka @mazoesmusic, for the warm invitation, and to @pompmarloes and @kamielproost.art for opening up their beautiful digs, as well as @rodmerrr @mauriciolobao @inzeyart @meraki.pedro and everyone else for helping create something so open and alive with music and vibes.

What an honour it was to open with a little artistic performance @vrijpaleis and be part of an evening celebrating the radical spirit of Fluxus and performance art.

Together with the legends photographer and performance artist BARBARA VAN ITTERSUM and HARRY RUHÉ, Vrijpaleis is launching a monthly series exploring the histories and futures of experimental art.

The first gathering featured rare footage from the 1960s, including works by Yves Klein, Wolf Vostell, Daniel Spoerri, Willem de Ridder, Wim T. Schippers, and Fluxus performances filmed around Kunsthandel Monet in Amsterdam in 1962.

After a little experimental introduction by yours truly, Harry Ruhé shared stories and insights from this remarkable era of artistic experimentation.

A beautiful reminder that art is not only something we make, but something we carry forward.

ERASE (rrrhythms) is a collective performance and video installation presented at the 6th Asia Triennial Manchester 2025, written and directed by Tiong Ang. The work is realized and shaped through a core group of international wanderers and creatives connected through the Netherlands, alongside collaborators from across the world and a newly formed on site Manchester team.

Unfolding through three interconnected moments departure, procession, and arrival the work traces a shared journey through space, memory, and collective presence. It begins with a live gathering at Manchester Art Gallery, continues as a walk through the city streets, and concludes at Manchester Metropolitan University, where movement gives way to a multi screen video installation.

Each stage transforms ordinary passage into an act of participation, turning both gallery and street into sites of encounter and reflection. Conceived as a living newsroom, the installation brings together thirteen video channels that weave archival footage, new recordings, and spontaneous performance. The shifting images gather voices and perspectives shaped by practices across the Netherlands, Romania, Indonesia, and alternative China, forming a layered field of shared histories.

Through performance, video, and public action, ERASE (rrrhythms) reflects on how memory circulates, how collective experience is shaped, and how cultural amnesia can be gently interrupted. The work exists not only as an artwork, but as a gathering shaped by those who step into it, carrying forward lived knowledge for both present audiences and future generations.
