From Brazil to America… this journey tested me in every way. 🇧🇷➡️🇺🇸What you’re seeing in this clip is what I hone deepest — heart, courage, and the refusal to stay down.In Brazil, I went through 9 losses in a row. It was difficult, yes. I hadn’t trained or competed in the Gi for almost 2 years prior — my responsibility, my lesson. But when you’re determined to discover what lies ahead of you, you don’t back down from the fight. You stand up, you learn, and you apply it.One of the hardest moments was facing the woman who nearly broke my leg 3 months earlier. That took courage I didn’t know I had. My coach held me through all of it and kept reminding me:“You have courage.”When you pray to be a warrior, you better be prepared for the refining that comes with it.At the end of my Brazil journey, I won my 10th fight at Brazilian Nationals — my first purple belt victory and a 3rd place finish. But the medal wasn’t the real reward. The reward was finally coming above water after feeling like I’d held my breath forever. Realizing I had evolved. That I had learned.Later, I went on to compete at International Masters and placed 2nd with one of my proudest performances and an armbar finish. I felt the wind return to my sails.And still — sometimes it comes, sometimes it goes. That’s life.You’re never fully “there.” Life keeps refining you.
