New York Knicks Since: 1983

Have You Ever Loved Something For So Long And At Times Wonder If It Ever Loved You Back. That Was And Is My Relationship As A Fan Of A Beloved New York Franchise. Because If You Love The Knicks You Are Definitely A Fan, Because The History Shows Years And Decades Of Heartbreak And Pain. But? You Still Loved Them Because You Are A True Diehard "FAN". And Us Fans Love This Team So Much That We Stayed Right There By There Side. Never Gave Up And Often Thought "will it happen in my lifetime"?
And Guess What... It Did. And Us The New York Knicks Fans Are Happy And Appreciative That Stayed Fans Because Nothing Will Ever Replace The Right Of Loyalty And Commitment. Congratulations To Us The Fans.
💙🧡🤍

Dear, Jalen Brunson

The year was 1983 the Philadelphia 76ers just won the last season's championship and I was rocking with them because of Julius "Dr.J" Erving but my heart wasn't in it, I just like Doc like countless others little boys did. Then Bernard King helped solidified who will be my squad and that was the New York Knicks plain and simple. We had some bright moments but being a Knicks enthusiast has come with years of pain and heartache Patrick Ewing, Allan Houston, Carmelo Anthony shine some lightness in dark and depressing moments but 1994 and 1999 just ain't enough to sustain what it must've felt like in 1973. But on July 12th 2022 I don't think no Knicks fan expected this. A light-skinned, braids swinging 6'2 barely dunking dude from New Brunswick N.J backup point guard from the Mavericks just quiet and loudly change the entire perspective of the Knickerbockers. @JalenBrunson1 I've been cheering for the New York Knicks for 43 years now and my cheers have gotten louder since you arrived in the Garden. I appreciate your heart your respectfully manner but most importantly I respect your Game. So go out there a finish what hasn't been achieved since 1973. Let's Go Knicks‼️

I've heard this song many times but nothings hit like a live performance. Leon Thomas "Yes It is" BBC 1 Xtra Live Lounge production captives your ears a takes them on a melodic excursion. The band playing is flawlessly in the pocket just a great piece of work.

Black History Month was first officially recognized by President Gerald Ford in 1976. It evolved from "Negro History Week," established in 1926 by Dr. Carter G. Woodson, and was expanded to a full month by educators and students at Kent State University in 1970.

1926: Dr. Carter G. Woodson initiated "Negro History Week" during the second week of February to coincide with the birthdays of Abraham Lincoln and Frederick Douglass.

1970: The first,, informal month-long celebration of Black history occurred at Kent State University.

1976: President Gerald Ford officially recognized Black History Month, urging Americans to "seize the opportunity to honor the too-often neglected accomplishments of Black Americans".

1986: Congress passed Public Law 99-244, officially designating February 1986 as National Black (Afro-American) History Month.

Janis Joplin's "Summertime"

Her cover is acclaimed for its raw, passionate intensity, transforming the classic into a blues-rock powerhouse with her unique, soaring vocals that add emotional depth, often described as fiery, desperate, and profoundly moving, a stark contrast to the song's gentle original, highlighting her ability to make any song her own. Reviews praise her "unbridled vigour," vocal acrobatics, and ability to convey intense feeling, with many considering it a signature, career-defining performance, often her closing number.

It was the 1985 NBA draft took place on June 18, 1985. It was also the first NBA draft of the "lottery" era. It was the year of Patrick Ewing.

I started out a Philadelphia 76ers fan the year won the world championship with Dr. J and Moses in 83. That all changed when two pivotal players came at the Garden one was Bernard King the explosive small forward from Brooklyn. The other was the Georgetown Hoyas number 33 Patrick Ewing. That was it, I was done for and I knew we were going to win a NBA championship. That was 43 years ago and it never happened. But it reinforced my love for the Knickerbockers and I'll be cheering for them till D.I.E. Ew-Dog was the final piece of that puzzle. Go New York Go New York Go‼️
