Last Friday, we kicked off a new season of *SMALL GROUPS!*

Small groups are a place to connect, grow in faith, and do life together—whether that means sharing a meal, having honest conversations, praying for one another, or simply showing up for each other.

Curious about joining one? Shoot us a DM or reach out to any of our pastors or deacons!

And just for fun…

Back from hiatus, after retreat and conference, Youth director Erin delivers a powerful message from Esther 1 that mirrors modern day events. by @3stone.nycac

18 churches came together for Rising Amid the Reckoning, from different traditions, cultures, and backgrounds, and we loved that we got to do this in Queens. National Geographic has described this part of Queens as one of the most culturally diverse places on earth, so it felt fitting to have that kind of room together.

We're really thankful for Chuck DeGroat and what he gave us. Not just ideas, but language we can actually bring back into our leadership teams. How do we recognize unhealthy patterns in ourselves and in the cultures we create? What does healthier leadership actually look like? And then how do we practice it together instead of just talking about it?

Two questions we really hope churches keep using are: “Am I in Home, Storm, or Fog right now?” and “What is your experience of me?” The first helps us name what is happening in us so others can understand us better. The second helps us see things about ourselves we may not see without other people reflecting it back to us.

The most encouraging thing we noticed was seeing churches come as teams. Pastors, elders, staff, core team members and ministry leaders hearing the same things together, learning the same language together, and not leaving one person to carry all of it back home.

Leadership was never meant to rest on one person. Don't learn alone.

Also really thankful for our partner Palabra.ai, who helped us provide live translation with hundreds of languages available. In a place like Queens, that felt especially important.

And we’re not done. We have more practical workshops coming:

Nov. 6 — Beyond Small Talk
with Ellen Lee, Licensed Therapist
A practical workshop around better conversations and relational skills.

2027 Feb. 4–Mar. 11 — Preparing Your Leadership Team: Mission, Vision & Values
with David Chong
A deeper workshop series for church teams to get clearer about who they are, what they’re called to do, and how they lead together.

So to every church that came as a team, thank you. Keep practicing it together. Keep asking the questions. Keep growing together.

We welcome, Pastor Paul back to the family! Last Sunday’s message was a great reminder to reflect upon what is written on our hearts.

Something is always written on our hearts.

The question is whether it is God’s script—or something else.

Pressure has a way of revealing what has been forming us underneath the surface. But wherever we are in life, God is still at work—shaping, transforming, and sanctifying our hearts.

Who am I, really?

We live in a world that tells us to figure out who we are, define ourselves, and find our place.

But Genesis reminds us of something simple: you were made by God and made in His image. Your worth isn’t something you have to earn.

We were also made to live in relationship with others—to love, support, and care for one another.

And when we get it wrong, Jesus meets us with grace and shows us a better way to love.

You don’t have to have yourself all figured out. Your identity starts with knowing whose you are.
