The Devils Disco bouldering comp has once again chewed me up, though I had a bit more fight this year. 10 hours through the night of hauling pads around the woods, climbing as many hard climbs as you can. I ranked 3rd out of 29 people in my division! Thankful to have something like this as an excuse to stay disciplined, to learn how to move my body better, and something to look forward to all year. It’s remarkable to watch people come from all over the country and try their hardest on Arkansas very own sandstone. Strangers and friends coming together to support and learn from each other to survive the night. First outdoor V7!!!! @tattooerscott asked me to try it out for a film he’s shooting, I felt he overestimated my ability but we worked it till it felt possible. Even more possible the next visit to it, and the next. On the fourth visit, all the moves felt as if my rehearsals within the head for weeks and weeks had finally paid off. Getting a climb of this caliber was my biggest goal this spring and so glad I can have an accomplishment like this to showcase how much effort I put in a week to get better and better at this climbing obsession. Thank you to @coachjfire for giving me a solid training routine, projecting tips and good mental headspace for execution! Biggest thanks to all my friends never questioning to hike 30-40lbs of crash pads up steep hills, throw them down, and watch me fall on sharp rock in a variety of conditions - Leatherface V7 by @3thanwagner

At the beginning of this month, McKenna and I celebrated our first wedding anniversary with a Eureka Springs trip. Filled with spooky ghost tours, architecture admiration, giggling at Halloween costumes and decor, and many film roll loadings. Spending time walking around with this human who I love so much, no matter what environment or occasion, this is my buddy for life.
