The comment section ain't all bad.

Before the jab mandate forced me to quit working for NYC an up-and-coming YouTuber found me down in the Financial District and included me in a video on guessing people's jobs in part based on their salaries (not that invasive for me since all NYS public service employees have published salaries).

I talked about my job and career sentiments for all of maybe a minute of footage. It's kinda wild how much people connected with and drew from that. These are only the comments that fit IG's aspect ratio for posting.

I'm realizing recently that I'm having trouble seeing in myself what's not only obvious to those closes to me but even random strangers getting snippets of my random expressions.

I worry about coming off as an overachieving ass in person and can be quite insular to anyone just meeting me. Remembering to appropriately value myself is a work in progress (even down to the comments wanting to give me a raise!).

#fbf to my first and only strongman comp about 12 years ago, got 2nd in this deadlift AMRAP event. Me: nearly 300 lbs and wayyy too invested in Fordham merch. Weight: 400lbs, just shy of today's DL AMRAP of 415. I knew there was a lean machine somewhere under that bulk szn coat 🤣

King Killmonger at #DreamCon was a fucking blast. Felt like I got the most shootouts all day and recognition for the scarring effort.

And ran into an incredible mix of peeps on this last day of the con, including the other dopest Jamaican vegan from the BX.

Oh yeah, Knicks in Five! (We were "yerrrr"-ing up the entire bbc bar!)

Keeping it a buck: I don't usually do shit for workouts during trips but I'm in Houston just long enough to need to maintain my fitness but too short to make it worthwhile to go gym. And mainstream gyms hate the way I workout.

But Rasta fi stay fit and I got #DreamCon cosplays that require keeping some definition. Switching it up with #calisthenics outside the crib helps generally to break up the old lifting patterns I've been doing for months. And shows how accessible staying in shape can be even when you're out of your element.
