Started as badminton partners 🏸and now becoming lifelong partners 💍

The night you proposed, I was fighting demons in my head. They whispered failures, rejections, doubts, and regrets. Memories that I wanted to forget suddenly became so clear.

The room was dark, and I was crying in my bed for God knows how many hours. You asked me to sit down with you, facing you. I shouted and screamed when you asked me, “What’s wrong?” (I may have even said some horrible things; I’m sorry). You then mentioned the ring that I gifted you years ago and left the room. You came back with a box and asked me the question.

Thank you. Your proposal didn’t go as you planned, but it was exactly what I needed when I couldn’t see the light at the end of the tunnel. No videos or pictures were taken to capture that moment, but that memory will be ingrained with me for the rest of my life.
