Let’s discuss the distinction between transparent pixels and choke in the realm of DTF. It’s essential to educate our clients on how printer settings differ from graphic related issues.

Our printers operate with a standard choke setting that we believe delivers the best consistency across all client files. This setting allows the white areas to be pulled inward beneath the CMYK layers, preventing any unwanted white outlines from appearing, as illustrated in the accompanying photo.

If you notice inconsistencies, shadows, or white edges on some of your graphics especially if these issues don’t appear consistently across all files or if there’s a hazy effect surrounding your graphics, this is typically due to transparent pixels or a low resolution file.

At 403 Printing, we’re committed to supporting our clients and helping you evolve your designs. One way we do this is by offering a feature in our gang sheet builder called the transparency detector. This tool highlights transparent pixels or non vectorized edges in red, allowing you to identify areas where there’s a risk of unwanted white edges appearing in your graphics.

So jump on over to our website www.403printing.ca and play with our gang sheet builder because we have some amazing features that help you keep creating! by @403printing
