Wattup y’all! It’s been a minute. It’s definitely been weird to have been away for so long but I guess for good reason. I’ll cut to the chase, I came to the decision that I’m gonna be stepping away from music for the foreseeable future. Ever since I started I’ve been in control of the whole process starting from writing, recording, engineering, marketing. I took so much pride in being able to take ownership of my own process and it was always going to be me against all the odds. Music is and always will be a grind and I embraced that artistic struggle and molded so much of my identity into that. For the past year I have felt like that identity has been completely exhausting and I grew to resent that part of myself. Spending time going to dinner, hanging out with friends/ loved ones, it all connected to “I can’t believe you’re taking me away from my inevitable pursuit of grestness in my craft.” I wasn’t enjoying anything I did outside of music, and in turn wasn’t enjoying my time making music and my cherished creative process. It grew to the point where I hated even listening to some of my favorite artists because it just related back to how I couldn’t amount to shit in my own endeavor. I wanted to take sometime to reevaluate and think about my priorities, motivations and overall love for music and life outside of it. I promise if I continued you guys would only be getting a mere percentage of me going through the motions for the sake of it and I overall think this is for the best. My obsession was driving me to fall out of love of my one true passion and I couldn’t stand to let that happen. If I come back to creating music or not, regardless, I anticipate a completely different version of myself that understands how to compartmentalize and love the the little things. Im hoping in turn, I can get back to feeling more like myself and figure out my eventual end goal. For now, deuces.✌🏽 by @408como
