Today I was honored in the 7TH ANNUAL VETERANS APPRECIATION DAY PARADE in my hometown Brooklyn, NY. Having a police escort and streets shut down as people waved thanking me for my service is a memory I’ll hold onto forever.
I served 10 years as a diesel mechanic in the US Army. As the only women in my field through the duration of my service, I did what needed to be done. Today I was honored by NYS, I’m so thankful for this honor it truly means a lot. “To whole much is given, much is required” and yet “heavy is the head that wears the crown. My name isn’t Tiara by accident, my crown never shift. Amen! 🙏 by @40oztea
