I don’t even know where to start.

I started making these posts on my birthday to track the highlights of my year. After I turned 25, I feel like I hit peak confidence with myself and just stopped giving a fuck. I see myself as selfless, unreserved, and transparent. I don’t put a filter on myself, I express my mind unapologetically 24/7.

But 28 shredded me apart.

There were plenty of highlights, amazing people and moments I never want to let go of but if I’m being real, it was the hardest year I’ve faced mentally. A lot of hardships, stress, depression, 🇨🇭idle thoughts, and grief… shit like I've never experienced before (it was the first year I experienced regular panic attacks).

I really broke apart.

But I’m grateful for every tear I shed. It helped me see clearly. It helped me understand what I allow and don’t allow in my life. It helped me understand myself better and regulate better. It helped me see myself on a deeper level and reminded me of the value of rebuilding from the ground up.

I know 29 is my year.
The year of healing.
The year of not falling for the same bullshit.
The year of choosing better for myself.

A year full of growth, challenges, and becoming more self-sufficient than ever. It was bittersweet in all the right ways.
No regrets — but stress and depression showed up more often than I’d like to admit.

I’ve discovered more about myself than I ever have, yet somehow feel further from myself at times. If you get it, you get it.

But this post isn’t just about reflection — it’s also an appreciation post.

To my beautiful wife:
You are the most admirable person I know. I don’t say it enough, but I see you. I’ve been so caught up trying to find my rhythm again, and through it all, you’ve been there — holding me accountable, pushing me toward my goals, and standing by me no matter what.

There’s no one else I’d rather do life with.

I wasn’t born with peace in my blood. I had to earn it through pain, discipline, and showing up when no one clapped. I’m building something they can’t take from me.
