🎂🎂🎂👽👽👽🤘🏾🤘🏾🤘🏾The man that gave me my OFFICIAL industry start besides Jimmy Henchman......The man that gave me my first MAJOR industry paycheck....The man that showed that it was cool to be weird & crazy but still musical......The man BESIDES Stevie Wonder & Prince that showed me the meaning of musical diversity......The man that refused to be boxed in....The man that reminded the music industry that us Blacks created Rock N Roll & Heavy MetalJames Brown Created The Funk......Sly Stone Diversified The Funk.....But It Was This Man That Made Funk Music A Genre, Religious Movement & A Culture Within ItselfHis undeniable influence on Hip-Hop is a long post by itselfIt was the Parliament’s “Mothership Connection” album which saved me from beating the shit out of my stepfather and led me to stay more in my room to create my musical vision what yall now know as Planet 12....If you look at the cover of my first album “Tha Planet 12 Syndrome”, it’s easy to see that I patterned it as a homage to him and the P-Funk dynasty for changing my life as a artist musicianI toured with him.....I produced for himI lived with him.....I sung with him.....I opened for him and in between it all, yes I clowned, laughed and partied with him LOL30 plus years now that I been an active member as part of the P-Funk camp, The moments with him have truly some of the best of my life and I still pinch myself every time we are on stage together. As everyone knows, I wear my P-Funk membership badge with honor and pride. I told my mom at age 12 that I was gonna meet him, work with him and become a P-Funk member one day. We are less then one week away from The 420 Funk Mob Super Meltdown TripFest at the @colonywoodstockny on Friday, June 26th!420 Funk Mob first show outside of New York was at the State Theater in Virginia. The openers pulled out last minute so, Clip decided to split the band in half. Here is the first set featuring Clip Payne, Blackbyrd McKnight, Peter Keys, Lige Curry, Gabe Gonzalez, Ted Orr, Jeremy Bernstein, Shane Kirsch and Dave Cast. THE SYLVERS PAYS HOMAGETO PARLIAMENT-FUNKADELIC🤘🏾👽YOUNG FOSTER SYLVERS AT 14-15 KILLING ON BASS !!!his growth as a musician truly eclipsed his childhood star status so smooth and great that some thought that was Leon playing bass master on recordings as usual but NOPE….THAT’S FOSTER BEASTIN ON THE WHOLE CLASSIC “Forever Yours” ALBUM !!!Leon was inspired after attending a P-Funk concert in which the crowd was chanting “Don’t Stop Get Off” so he recorded the crowd, took it back to his brothers to create a serious Sylvers throwdown in homage to the band that was rewriting all the rules and influencing EVERY Funk/R&B band…The funk guitar riff alone that Ricky is playing in the intro is obviously a nod to Funkadelic’s “Let’s Take It To Stage” and the horn arrangement punches are definitely a Parliament nod to Fred Wesley & Maceo Parker arrangement styleBecause of my own 30 year history in the P-Funk camp plus the studio work I’ve done with Foster & Leon, it just shows you god don’t make mistakes with connections and destiny😢….MY MENTOR/TEACHER FOSTER SYLVERS& THE INCOMPARABLE BAD ASSERY OF EDMUND SYLVERS May they both RIP😢🙏🏾#TheSylvers #ParliamentFunkadelic#LeonSylvers #FosterSylvers #Planet12Law by @420funkmob
