4AM Satellites warps samples live - building and deconstructing drums and a wobbly analogue synth until something special and unexpected happens in the room. Watching Danny's sets is a different exchange of energies each time: swapping samples, building delays until the weirdness hits. Electronica to Tech House with a UK leaning. Clan Analogue take over Bar 303 in Northcote on Sunday the 11th of October for Emerge – a showcase of upcoming local electronic artists. From live coding to UK garage, synthesized gamelan to euphoric electronica, the diversity of local live electronic music performers will be on show as part of Melbourne Fringe. Emerge will commence at 2pm with an open-entry electronic music jam session with everyone having an opportunity to take part. Turn up early with your preferred noise-making device to participate or just come and listen! From 4pm onwards into the evening, a selection of the most exciting new electronic music artists of Naarm will perform live, demonstrating the creativity and diversity in electronic music for which this city is known. Australia’s longest-running electronic music collective Clan Analogue take over Bar 303 in Northcote on Sunday the 11th of October for Emerge – a showcase of upcoming local electronic artists. From live coding to UK garage, gamelan to euphoric electronica, the diversity of local live electronic music performers will be on show as part of Melbourne Fringe. Emerge commences at 2pm with an open-entry electronic music jam session with everyone having an opportunity to take part. From 4pm onwards into the evening, a selection of the most exciting new electronic music artists of Naarm will perform live, demonstrating the creativity and diversity in electronic music for which this city is known. Opening act Harte Echtzeit live-codes the universe, incorporating gravity waves into a minimal dub techno sonic mix. Izzy Mardin-Weir synthesises the sounds of Indonesian gamelan into an experimental soundscape, while Tender Thorns improvise a squelchy and wistful lo-fi electronica groove. Emerge switches focus to more uptempo artists with Naïve Atom bringing their celestial bass style. 4AM Satellites incorporates breakbeat builds and tech house grooves, while DA’UD presents an immersive and euphoric close to the night. The Video FELL OVER hence the mashup angles. But the audio is there. Here's a switch from a set of live loops and effects > to a clean song to DJ. Because sometimes in all of that buildup ans loopiness you've got to get out of your own head. taken in Brunswick, Melbourne by @4amsatellites
