Happy #Juneteenth!

Today holds such significance. Growing up, I loved learning about our family and ancestors. Nana was an elementary school teacher, and Grandpop was best known for his work as a pastor and barber. 📓💈

Advocates. Trailblazers. #Goals.

Our family has roots in Mississippi, Virginia, and beyond. They went on to raise a family in New Jersey and always emphasized the importance of knowing our history.

Swipe right to learn why today matters and to see some throwback pics. ▶️

Thank you for being here and for being part of our story.

Love,
