Year one with a little one is a special time, but it's also a HUGE change! My wife and I were together for several years, just the two of us, before we had a child. We were used to having free time, being adventurous, eating and sleeping when we wanted, and all of the other amazing things you take for granted when it is just the two of you. Then, our amazing little tornado came along and everything changed.............

Every Tuesday we're going to touch on a difficult topic that effects families in some way. This week's topic is something very close to the heart of us at Dapper Dad, miscarriages. As the founder of Dapper Dad, this is something that has affected my family multiple times. It seems like miscarriages are rarely discussed, even less so from a fathers perspective. I wanted to shed some light on some things I learned going through multiple miscarriages. Tears streaming down our faces… it was the third time. After over a year of trying, it was the third time we convinced ourselves we wouldn’t get our hopes up, unsuccessfully. We're always taking about "Daddy Daughter" time, but there's not enough love given to father son time! We need to build the next generation of positive young men. It's amazing when we have personal goals (hopefully written down). When goal setting, don't forget family goals too. Think about the small and big steps you need to take in order to set your family up for success.
Pro Tip from dads way smarter than us: Make sure "success" is more than just a financial metric. How do you want your children to treat others, view the world, etc... and how do you foster that in them 🤔

We haven't had the chance to meet @samsons_strength in person yet but hopefully that changes soon. Everything we've seen from him lets us know he's not only an incredible dad but also an inspiration.
