(version II) Gestures of care, gendered experience. The work references braiding chains as a form of connection and exclusion. Pull, push, feel the weight of each other’s bodies: trust. I am on the outside with grazed knees: wishing.

recreate the faces of girls in smut

Watcher and watched, chaser and chased. Cam girl aesthetics and horror footage begin to overlap. Low-quality, point of view, perceived closeness. Invasive. The body becomes something to be consumed, pursued, followed and chased. I attempt to evade the feeling; I cannot articulate something that resists language. I’m overwhelmed. Caught.

I am softened, rounded, and blunt. Consumed through a database: cuteness becomes a mechanism that renders us more pliable and detached. Do not mistake simulacra for simulation. Neotenised, unstable. i <3 uuu. The body is less like flesh and more like an algorithm: an accumulated identity. My reality is softened and destabilised through new digital platforms, reshaping my perception of self, environment, and communication.
