This weekend Ashanti earned her @theappda Entry Level…
To say I’m proud of the little black dog is an understatement. In 3 months she’s earned her PSA PDC, 2nd Place Suit Division in a personal protection tournament, and now an EL in a new sport for us both… and the kid ain’t even 2.5 yet 😮‍💨 Maybe you’ll see us in the 1’s in two sports next year 🤪

Thank you @arcane_corsos and @dtdworkingdogclub for hosting a fun and efficient trial, even with the heat lol

Big thank you to @puppiesbythepond for his fair, consistent judging, and to @evan_griggs , @4kqualitytraining , and @billythekid_k9 for testing the little black dog, but still sending her home safe.

As always thank you to @art_ofthe_bark for your support, I’m so proud of you and Jean for snagging y’all’s EL as well this weekend.

(Oh and thanks to @dogmanjan for convincing/harassing? me to show the dogs and come play in a new sport 😂)

Maleficent Mistress Of Mischief PSA1 & APPDA EL!

Today Mal and I passed the entry level of APPDA and I couldn’t be more proud. We’ve been prepping for this every week since she finished her PSA 1. This is Mal’s official retirement from trialing in bite sports at 6 years old 😭 it feels like this moment came faster than I could have ever prepared.

Mal is my first sport dog and she has allowed me to try anything that caught my interest. She’s always ready to go anywhere and do anything and that has opened more doors for me than I could have ever imagined. I will forever owe so much of who I am to this dog. Mal hasn’t just been my sport partner but my life partner too. She’s with me every day no matter where I go, sleeps in bed with me every night and has gone on so many trips. Mal is the definition of best friend, soul dog and partner. I couldn’t have asked for a better dog to grow up in my 20s with.

Thank you so much @dogmanjan for going out of your way to make the long drive to Texas for us as we prepped and making sure we were ready as well as introducing us to this new sport. Thank you @arcane_corsos for always being down to do some dog shit and hosting Janson every month as well as the trial. And @art_ofthe_bark & @summuttznamal who never let our mistakes get me down and help us prepare as much as possible today would have never been possible without your help.

Mal holds such a special place in my life and my heart I chose to retire her now to preserve her aging body as long as I can. She’ll come out for fun bites, maybe the occasional ppd competitions and continue her half time shows as well as go back to our local frisbee club to finish out some disc titles! These past 6 years have been such a fun, exciting and educational time with her, now it’s time for her son💜 by @4kqualitytraining
