Jazz Girls Day is a free concert on Saturday, June 13th at the Carver Theatre!

Tyreek McDole and Excelsior band are also coming to the Carver Theatre THIS MONTH. Tickets can be found at jazzhall.com/events

On MLK Day, the community came together to help shift the future of a long vacant space in the Historic 4th Avenue Business District, right in the heart of the Fountain Heights neighborhood.📍

Once a vibrant gathering place known as John Ray’s Supper Club, is now taking its first steps toward becoming a renewed community asset rooted in public art, creative placemaking, and connection. This cleanup marked the beginning of a larger vision, one that honors the district’s history while creating a new space to gather, play, and celebrate community.

This past Saturday, we were proud to partner with @mlkday5kdrumrun in honor of Dr. King. Birmingham’s Historic 4th Avenue Business District came alive as we celebrated culture, connection, and togetherness.

Originally founded in Atlanta, GA, the Drum Run continues to grow each year, bringing its powerful spirit of community engagement straight to the heart of the district.
