WORLD CHAMPIONS 🏆🏆🏆🌍🌍🌍😭😭😭

I am BEYOND proud of these incredible humans for their FIRST EVER street dance comp 🤯

Not only did they smash it out of the park, but they were also moved up a category a week before the event. Meaning they competed with the next level up of dancers AND had less music allowance than others in their group.

BUT THEY STILL TOOK HOME THE TITLE 🤯🎉💃

Thank you so much to @gdoworlds & @bdodance for such an amazing experience, we loved the whole day from start to finish. Also shout-out to the epic host with the most, @ydfotf86 ❤️ so nice to see you! We hope their locking did you proud!

Thank you SO MUCH to all the parents for their endless support, all the friends and family who cheer us on relentlessly, to @amyhaydennn who came along for the wild ride and screamed until her voice gave out. A massive thank you to everyone who donated to our fundraising efforts making this a possibility for all of them. Plus a huge thank you to the legendary Neil from @lordstravel_ 🚌

I've always known this lot are the greatest... But it's amazing to have them recognized on such a huge scale.

I cannot say enough how proud I am and how much I love you all ❤️❤️❤️

WE'VE BEEN SHORTLISTED FOR U.DANCE NATIONALS! 🏆

♀️♂️⚧️‘Am I Not What You Expected’ explores the ignorance surrounding gender stereotypes. Created from the perspective of a young female in a world who underestimates her, we are taken on a journey through the multi-faceted world of discovering who we are. Which often comes after discovering who we are not. Ultimately finding comfort in the strength of our character.

These absolute legends smashed their performance and received GLOWING feedback from the panel...

✍️🗨️'This was an incredibly powerful piece which was delivered with a quiet confidence from the group. The choreography was strong and fierce, and allowed us to see the dancers as a group but also as individuals. There was a strong sense of community which empowered the piece and resulted in gorgeous transitions and unique formations.'

Now we just have to wait for the next contact with our fingers and toes crossed that they make it through to the national platform! Eeeek!

STUDENT SHOUTOUT 🔊

This absolute superstar has made us so proud, all of the teachers have been chatting about her growth and we thought we should share it with you all!

India has always loved dance but she used to find coming to classes really overwhelming and would get very anxious about coming in. We had many days where she would arrive crying and really not want to leave mum, it was so tough to see her like this because once she was in the room she loved it.

Her amazing mum has always been consistent in encouraging her to go to dance, knowing it’s something that India really loves. Many years of summer school and classes, just being caring towards her whilst getting her in the room - with some support from the 4D teachers and other kind students.

And to say it’s paid off would be an understatement 🤯

Last year for Aquafest, India put herself in for a solo that she choreographed herself. After having a big wobble at 4DFEST we were so excited that she was still wanting to perform. And she SMASHED IT! She got up in front of hundreds of people and performed so confidently!

Then she turned up to summer school with a giant smile on her face and bounced into the room, chatting to friends and feeling good!

This has carried through to all of her classes and she’s really thriving every week now! We are totally in awe of her resilience and her determination to push through the hard times.

And we think she’s an inspiration to so many other young people who are still deep in that anxiety phase. Keep on and you’ll get to the really good bit before you know it 🥰🥰🥰❤️❤️❤️

Huge well done to India, and to her amazing mama 🙏❤️😻
