This morning, Colonel Dave Fleming passed on the colors of 25th Marine Regiment and the callsign of "Patriot 6" to Colonel Michael Simon during a change-of-command ceremony presided over by the @4thmardiv Commander, Major General Raymond Adams, at the Hall of Flags aboard Devens RFTA.In addition to leading a disaggregated Regiment of 22 subordinate elements spread across New England and the Ohio River Valley, Colonel Fleming commanded a Marine Air Ground Task Force (#MAGTF25) comprised of over 4,250 #USMarines and sailors during the execution of @usmcreserve 's premier annual training evolution, Integrated Training Exercise 3-25, aboard MCGACC 29 Palms, California, where units from across the United States came together to hone their lethality and readiness.Colonel Fleming next heads to Okinawa, where he will serve as the @3dmardiv Chief of Staff, leaving 25th Marine Regiment more capable and better prepared to answer the call the next time the American people call on its Marines and sailors. by @4thmardiv

#USMarine and #USNavy planners from @25thmarines, @4thlarbn, @4threconbn, @marforsouth, and socsouth recently attended a Pre-Deployment Site Survey (PDSS) at various training sites across the Republic of Peru hosted by the @mgp.oficial and @infanteria_de_marina_peru.Later this summer, these units will participate in the world's longest-running annual multinational martime exercise, #UNITAS, alongside our North and South American partners to strengthen partnerships, enhance interoperability, and train together to defend against hemispheric threats. by @4thmardiv

#USMarines and sailors with Charlie Company, @1stbn25thmarines recently conducted jungle familiarization training in the jungles of Okinawa, Japan.On the battlefield, the jungle is a tough and unforgiving operating area, limiting fields of view and communications capabilities while restricting mobility and fields of fire. Wet, insect-infested, and difficult to navigate, the jungle comprises much of the terrestrial area of the Indo-Pacific, in which our Marines may one day be called upon to fight and win. In a jungle theater, individual skills and small unit tactics win the day.C/1/25 is currently deployed to Okinawa as part of the United States Marine Corps' Unit Deployment Program, where, for the next several months, they will learn to survive and thrive in a jungle fight and participate in numerous exercises and exchanges with the United States' regional partners. by @4thmardiv

#GunsUpChanges in temperature, climate, and ground elevation can cause changes in air density, moisture content, and barometric pressure - all of which can throw off a weapon's zero. Having recently arrived at Okinawa, Japan, from their intermediate location (ILOC) aboard Camp Pendleton, the #USMarines of Charlie Company, @1stbn25thmarines were quick to hit the range and re-zero their weapons. The Marines and sailors of C/1/25 will spend the next several months honing their readiness and enhancing interoperability with partner militaries, ready to respond to any crisis that may arise in the Indo-Pacific region. by @4thmardiv

LAR Crews from U.S., Australia, New Zealand Conclude Bushmaster Competition Hosted by 4th Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, 4th Marine Division, @usmcreserve, the multi-day Bushmaster Competition, an event led by the U.S. Marine Corps Light Armored Reconnaissance community since 2017, was held at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, March 26-29, 2026, and brought together crews from across all four Marine Corps divisions, alongside allied partners from Australia and New Zealand, for a demanding test of tactical knowledge, physical fitness, marksmanship, and proficiency in employing the LAV-25. Marines with 2nd Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, @2dmardiv, earned top honors, winning both the Bushmaster Cup 🏆 for top battalion and the top gunnery award.Additional recognitions included 1st Battalion, Royal New Zealand Infantry Regiment, earning top overall crew in its first participation in the competition, and 4th LAR securing the dismounted top shot event.The Bushmaster Competition continues to strengthen interoperability, refine warfighting skills, and reinforce the cohesion required to operate effectively alongside allied and partner forces.📸 U.S. Marine Corps photos by Sgt. As infantry recognition month comes to a close, we recognize the heavy hitters of the 03 world, heavy weapons. While March 31st marks the day of the Machine Gunner (0331), we extend that honor to the Marines who bring the thunder from above and the destruction from afar: the 0341 Mortarmen and the 0352 Antitank Missile Gunners. These three Military Occupational Specialties are the bedrock of infantry firepower. #MARCHMAGTF25th Marine Regiment recently spearheaded the 2nd annual spring Tactical Air Control Party Primer & Fires Exercise aboard @jblmwa. This event brings together units from not only across @4thmardiv, but from the entirety of @usmcreserve, allowing elements of the Ground Combat, Air Combat, and Command Elements to train as a force and gain valuable reps and sets in critical warfighting capabilities.During the week, the Regimental Air Officer led a primer course for those #USMarines across the Regiment preparing to attend @ewtglant schools required to become Joint Fires Officers and Joint Terminal Attack Controllers responsible for directing and controlling fires in support of ground operations.JTACs and JFOs from across the Regiment also provided Fire Support Team training to the Marines of the ground combat element’s @2ndbn_25thmarines and 3d Battalion @14thmarreg, successfully completing live combined arms attacks supported by the H-1s of @mag49_jbmdl’s HMLA-773 #RedDogs while also conducting full Fire Support Coordination Center operations in the 2/25 combat operations center.Rounding out the force as part of the command element was @4thleb. Together, these units from across the force were able to gain and maintain essential certifications and receive valuable experience while developing cohesion across the force, helping to ensure that America’s Marine Corps Reserve is ready when called upon to #FightTonight. by @4thmardiv

Today is Reconnaissance Marine Day On March 21st we celebrate our Reconnaissance #Marines whose job series identifier is 0321. Reconnaissance units serve as the commander’s ears and eyes on the battlefield. Composed of highly trained Marines organized into small, specialized teams, they are capable of executing complex missions deep behind enemy lines.
